ONE BEAUTIFUL YEAR ✨
One year ago, we opened the doors to Pretty Little Pooches with a dream to create something beautiful.
What many people don’t see is that this little salon has truly been a labour of love.
Steve and I have spent countless evenings, weekends and early mornings painting, building, styling and dreaming up ways to make Pretty Little Pooches feel calm, luxurious and welcoming. Every little detail has been chosen with love because I wanted our clients to walk through the door and feel confident that their pooch would be safe, loved and have a wonderful experience.
Our dream was simple…
No cages. No chaos. Just a team that genuinely cares.
Over the last twelve months we’ve celebrated Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day with our clients. We’ve celebrated birthdays, new uniforms, team dinners and nights out with the girls. There have been countless wagging tails, puppy cuddles, happy dances and so many proud moments.
Like every small business, we’ve had our highs and lows, our laughs and our tears, our wins and our challenges. There was even the Great Fire of ‘25 🔥 when we packed everything up and moved back home for three days. Without hesitation, my incredible team pulled together and we kept going. It reminded me that Pretty Little Pooches isn’t just a business… it’s family.
Over the past year we’ve welcomed new faces, watched confidence grow, celebrated achievements and experienced the many changes that come with growing a small business. Through it all, I’ve been incredibly grateful for every person who has been part of the Pretty Little Pooches journey.
And somewhere amongst the renovating, the chaos, the celebrations and the endless “just one more project” moments, there have also been lots and lots of ChatGPT conversations 😂 (honestly, half the time the girls hear me say, “Hang on, let me ask Chat…”).
But through it all, we’ve never lost sight of why we started.
To create a beautiful, calm and safe space where every pooch is treated like family.
To my beautiful team, thank you for loving these dogs as much as I do.
To Steve, thank you for every late night, every weekend project and every time I’ve said, “I’ve got another idea…” ❤️ None of this would have been possible without you.
And to our wonderful clients, thank you for trusting us with your precious pooches. Thank you for supporting our dream and allowing us to do what we love every single day.
Looking back, this year hasn’t just been about dog grooming.
It’s been about building something special.
A place filled with love.
A place filled with laughter.
A place filled with memories.
A place where lifelong friendships have been made.
And a place where every pooch is treated like family.
