Today I found a fantastic horse book in the Op shop. It was first published in 1887, of course I instantly flip through to read the hoof care sections and found this section on thrush fascinating as what's written is fairly inline with what we talk about often on here, even in regards to the treatment. Even then copper sulfate was reccomended, zinc sulfate(what is the difference between this form of zinc and zinc oxide?)
Plus in the last sentence it advises to attend to the general health and exercise!
