Miss Poppet has finally arrived after leaving her previous home 5 days ago.
I’m Super impressed that she instantly went to the water trough before saying hi to Sox and then went and ate her hay, great start 🙏
Sox didn’t even look up, even when she came over to ask politely if she could share his dinner lol.
Her paddock mate of course will be my invaluable and rock solid Sox until she settles in.
I’m really looking forward to seeing this girl shine under my care 💞💫

Libby and Gabby (long term agistment thoroughbred mares) were introduced this afternoon after spending a week sharing a boundary fence.
Both these ladies will be future mummas 💞
New paddock mates and all went perfectly calm and smoothly 🫶🏻

Beautiful Big Libby arrived today and what a stunner she is!
Bred in the purple on both sides she oozes Quality 🤩
She is having a 12mth spell here recovering from a 2nd tendon injury.
I’ll be working on her body during this healing faze with gentle Inhand rehab.
Then the owner will be breeding this lovely Lady 💗

While I was working with the horses today I thought about who was my most valuable horse here at Destiny Park..
Everyone see’s value so different right?

If it came to natural talent and favouritism 🤭 well there’s no denying it’s my Queen Reina (warmblood) 💘
If it came to actual “current” dollar worth it would be my big boy Magic (warmblood/Andalusian) 🤎
and if it came to my future dreams it would be my young c**t Spirit (Iberian)

But it’s not one of these, it’s my gorgeous rescue horse Sox 🧡
He has proven his worth over and over again by looking after the thoroughbred yearlings that arrive and my valuable c**t.
He is always exceptionally calm and non reactive and He teaches all the babies to be the same.
Never once has he displayed aggression towards another horse so the c**ts watch and learn.
It’s not just the mother’s job to guide them, it’s the “nanny”after weaning that also plays a very important role..

When it comes to babies and valuable young race horses owners put a lot of trust into you to keep them safe and injury free…
Having Sox to paddock share with them is invaluable and irreplaceable .
We have our first lot of weanlings arriving soon and it’s so nice to have the confidence that Sox is here to make a positive impact on these future racehorses 💫

It was great to be present for his first session today, if I do say so myself he looks Dam handsome in western gear 😍
