Some people look at our feeders and think they must be hard to clean.

But compared with cleaning food mess off the cage, toys, perches and the floor around it, they’re way less effort.

A quick wash in warm soapy water, soak any stubborn build-up, then wipe dry or leave it to air dry.

Once you start using one, you’ll probably wonder why you didn’t add one to your bird’s setup sooner. ✨️

You clean their cage, turn around, and somehow it looks like you haven't cleaned it in days. 😂

Birds are going to pick through their food, drop things and make a mess. That's just part of how they eat.

We can't change that, but we can help keep more of the mess contained.

It’s always hard to show online how something actually feels in your hands. 🖐

Both our Small and Large feeders have that nice, weighty feel to them, and it’s something customers often mention once theirs arrives.

You pick one up and suddenly get it. These feeders mean business around curious birds.

And that weight isn’t just about how it feels. Once mounted and filled with food, it also helps keep the feeder stable and where you put it, making it much harder for those curious beaks to relocate it!

We’re bird owners first, and Seed Cube started because we wanted better products for our own birds.

Nugget still uses one of our early prototypes, and I actually love that. It’s a reminder that choosing good materials and building things properly matters years down the track.

A lot of the decisions we make still come back to the same question, would we be happy using this with our own birds?

Nugget’s feeder is several years old now and still doing exactly what it was built to do. 🙌

We had this comment the other day, and it shows a very real scenario for some birds.

They can hesitate with new things. Sometimes for days. Sometimes longer.

But hats off to this owner for sticking with it, giving her macaw time, and letting her work it out at her own pace.

And look at the outcome.

She’s now happily using the feeder, there’s less mess, less food ending up at the bottom of the floor, and something she was unsure about has simply become part of her routine.

We see people say, “My bird would never use that.”

Maybe not straight away.

Give them time, introduce it at their pace, and let confidence come first. 😊
