⚠️TICK ALERT – EARLY SEASON ⚠️

Tick activity is being seen earlier than expected this year. Horse and pet owners are urged to remain vigilant.

While ticks are commonly associated with dogs and cats, HORSES are also at risk. In cooler weather, reduced sweating and lower levels of exercise can make horses more susceptible to ticks.

Regular checks are essential. Pay close attention to common attachment areas including the head, ears, neck, chest, legs, and tail.

A quick daily inspection can help prevent serious health issues.

Ensure all animals are on appropriate tick prevention and monitor them closely throughout the season.

Early detection is key to protecting your animals.
