~ Introducing Flossy~

NAME: Flossy
AGE: 9
BREED: Pony breed
HEIGHT: 14.1 hh approx.


SUITED RIDER: experienced rider.

SUITED DISCIPLINE: Trails, show, pleasure.

VET WORK: up to date with Hendra, 2in1, dental and farrier

EASY TO: float, tack up, worm, farrier, rug, catch, lead, wash and groom

ADOPTION FEE: $500 under life time contract.

Flossy has just come back from an adopted home. Change of circumstances mean we have this beautiful little girl to adopt back out. Flossy is up to date on everything and ready to find her forever home. She has done clinics, obstacle courses, and was dabbling in some low level Dressage lessons. She can be a little worried so does need an experienced rider to give her confidence and direction.

~ Introducing Ben~

NAME: Ben
AGE: 7
BREED: Unknown. Possibly stockhorse x
HEIGHT: 15.3/16 hh approx.
BUILD: stocky
STATUS: green broken


SUITED RIDER: Experienced rider.

SUITED DISCIPLINE: Any.

VET WORK: up to date with Hendra, 2in1, dental and farrier

EASY TO: float, tack up, worm, farrier, rug, catch, lead, wash and groom

VICES: Nil

ADOPTION FEE: $500 under life time contract.

Ben came into Saha with three other horses off one property. All four were neglected, some severely emaciated. Ben was the least skinny of them all.
Ben rehabilitated well, the quickest to gain back condition.
Ben has proven to be a joy to have around, becoming a fast favourite with staff.

Recently (8 weeks ago) we sent Ben away to be professionally broken in by Stuart Clunes.
And what a good boy he has been!
A description from Stuart.

‘Ben is super sweet and affectionate, has great ground manners.
He has lovely comfortable, smooth gaits, a super slow trot and lope, and good understanding of collection.
No dirt in him, however can get in his head sometimes if he’s feeling anxious.
Just needs lots of practice and reassurance now and keeping his mind on you when he’s nervous.
Would suit an experienced/confident rider that can help his confidence continue growing.’

Ben has had many rides with Stuart and is now ready to find his forever home. He will make someone experienced and willing to continue with his training, an amazing horse. ❤️

~Introducing Nation~

NAME: Nation
AGE: 7
BREED: Thoroughbred
HEIGHT: 16.1 approx.
BUILD: solid
Racename: Salty Mark

Suitability: Therapy horse, Paddock companion, in hand showing.

VET WORK: up to date with Hendra, 2in1, dental and farrier

EASY TO: float, worm, farrier, rug, catch, lead, wash and groom

VICES: paddock boss.

ADOPTION FEE: $150 under life time contract.

Nation came into Saha when it was deemed he was unsuitable for riding.
Nation has calcification in his front joints meaning he will go sore if ridden. He is perfectly paddock sound though and needs no help to stay this way.

As you can see from his video he lives his best life as a paddock horse and would be thrilled to find a home of his own.
Nation is a great looking horse, he would be ideal for someone who isn’t interested in riding, but may want a pretty horse to show in hand.
Nation loves to be close to humans, and would hang out with you all day if he could.
We hope he can find his lifetime home soon! ❤️

~Introducing Titan and Magic~

Suitability: Therapy horses, Paddock companions.

VICES: Nil

ADOPTION FEE: $300 together under life time contract.

Titan and Magic have been long time Saha horses. They are both retired ex racehorses, and are the easiest boys to do anything with.
They do well on their two feeds a day of cool plus and chaff, love to wander round their lovely big paddock, and Titan will be your best friend if he can find a nice big tree or shelter to snooze under.
These boys are Saha Icons.
They would only go to a five star home with someone who is wanting to give them the best rest of their days.
We understand older horses aren’t as cheap to keep, so we could possibly work out a partial foster situation with them.
But they will not leave Saha unless they are offered the very very best retirement home.
They are very special to us!
Please note, they will only go out as a bonded pair.

~Introducing Madonna~

ADOPTION FEE: $500 under life time contract.

Madonna came into Saha in 2015 with Sweeney shoulder. She was worked on by a vet and a physio, and was successful in becoming a sound horse again under saddle. Madonna has been adopted out since then, but came back 2 years ago with a paddock injury the adoptive owner couldn’t afford to fix.

Madonna recovered beautifully from surgery, and now is an amazing girl under saddle again. With Sweeney shoulder we would never put her under major pressure, but as a trail riding or pleasure horse someone is going to get an amazing horse.
Being a thoroughbred Madonna is eligible for lessons through the Racing Qld OTT program.
We hope she can find her lifetime home soon! ❤️

Xena came to us from a person who had taken her out of a neglect situation.
We were told Xena was aggressive at feed time with other horses.
We put Xena onto Chasteberry powder, and she is now comfortably paddocked with a mare and gelding, with no issues.
Xena is proving to be a nice mare under saddle, and with the right rider will be a very sweet prospect for any discipline.
Xena is a lovely diamond in the rough.
Xena is eligible for lessons through the Racing Qld OTT program.
