šŸ¾ I am a one on one groomer. My workspace is calm and is suitable for anxious, nervous and naughty dogs.
šŸ¾ I specialise in cute pet trims on high maintenance breeds like: mini schnauzers, poodles, shihtzu, Maltese, cavalier, bichon and their mixes.

šŸ“ŒImportant update: Unfortunately my strength is still nowhere near what it should be, I have made the sad decision to let go all of my larger border collie size and above dogs go. This is a decision based on the safety of the dogs first and foremost.
If one of these larger dogs slips off the table there is no way I could lift it back up. I cannot risk them getting hurt or hurting myself further trying to lift them. I will be sending out msgs to all clients with dogs that are in that weight range. This has not been an easy decision and not something I want to do especially since most of them have been with me from pupsšŸ’”

For everyone else I am taking bookings during the Easter holidays, please reach out to me to book your dog/dogs in. I can now groom two or three dog families, I am just a little slower than usual.

I think Zen knew I wasnā€™t at 100% and made my day nice and easy. A perfect dog to ease my way back into things. Sheā€™s not perfect - a little bit choppy and uneven - but Iā€™m glad I could get through it. Her little brothers wrote me the cutest card, and that just made my whole day. šŸ„¹ šŸ«¶šŸ¼ šŸ¾

šŸ¦“ Just a quick update on the wrist. Itā€™s feeling pretty good. I feel like Iā€™ve got about 70% of my movement back. However, I am still on a 2kg weight restriction over the next couple of weeks as I now focus a bit more on getting my strength back. The plan now is to groom my own dog over the weekend and see how I go with the vibration and weight of the clippers. I will be looking at booking only toy-sized dogs in starting next week. So, if youā€™ve got a toy-sized poodle or a breed of a similar size, send me a text to book in and fingers crossed I can get through some. This is going to be a day-by-day thing as I have no idea how my wrist will cope. Also, please keep in mind that I donā€™t think my work is going to be anywhere near the standard it was before my accident. So, because of that, I wonā€™t be doing a price rise for the first half of the year, while I work on getting those skills back up to where I want them. Thanks again for being amazing and canā€™t wait to get back to it āœ‚ļø

My plaster came off on Monday and the doctor is happy with how the bone has healed so that was good news. I had the best shower of my life that night.
Bad news is, I was completely delusional thinking it would only take a week to be back to normal.
Reality is, my fingers and wrist are still swollen although thankfully each day itā€™s going down slightly. My wrist had next to no movement for the first few days and by today I am able to slightly flex it without too much pain. My fingers and across my knuckles are still very stiff and weak. I can now make a fist but cannot grip anything.
The plan now is to continue with the physio and be an 11/10 patient and then hoping each day I am able to move it a little better and the swelling continues to go down. I will be looking at returning to work from the 2/3 if everything continues the way it has been for the last 5 days.
Once again thank you to everyone that has reached out to me and offered advice/help and just someone to talk to. It means the world to me. Please dont hesitate to get into contact with me if you have any questions or concerns.

So this is meā€¦.. I broke my wrist on the 27/12 and will be in plaster until the 2/2. Doctor reckons I wonā€™t be able to work until around the 12/2 and that will depend on how weak my hand is as of course itā€™s my right hand.
I am not sure what that means exactly with my return to work and how many dogs I am going to be able to do per day.
I would recommend those with dogs that cannot wait for appointments to absolutely book in with another groomer. I have no real plan with what happens from now but I will be trying my best to get back to work as soon as possible. I will keep everyone updated with how I am travelling, sorry for the inconvenience, if itā€™s any conciliation my holidays have suckedā€¦.I have never rested and slept so much in my life. Iā€™m wearing a hole in my lounge and so far read 4 novels and watched so much tv my eyes are square šŸ˜©

Merry Christmas to all my amazing clients and their special dogs.
It has been a big year, we lost a few which is always so hard and I think of these dogs often.
We gained a few moreā€¦ā€¦puppies that replaced those old dogs and returned back to me starting off their grooming training and bringing their owners and myself so much happiness.
Lots of new faces to get to know and work on. Old, young, naughty and nice.
Thank you as always for choosing and trusting me to put some cute hairstyles on your best friends. I am so lucky to have a job I truely love and enjoy.
I am looking forward to enjoying a nice break with my family and wish you all the very best over Christmas and into the new year.
I will be back with sharp scissors and blades from the 5th February.
