Meet Oreo!

Oreo presented to our team with a sore eye!

Guinea pigs are naturally curious herbivores and, while hay is an essential part of their diet, pieces can occasionally cause eye injuries if they become lodged in or around the eye.

Oreo was carefully examined by our veterinary team, and the hay was safely removed. He received appropriate treatment and monitoring to support the healing of his eye. 🩺💚

Oreo was a very brave patient throughout his visit and is now on the road to recovery! 🥰🐹

This case is a great reminder that eye injuries in guinea pigs should always be assessed promptly, as even small pieces of hay or other foreign material can cause discomfort and potentially damage the eye.

We wish this sweet little man a speedy recovery! 💚✨
