💛 A Massive Thank You to Sandy Brett of Sandy's Pet Enclosures 💛

We’re beyond grateful for the incredible work Sandy has done at our dog shelter. Not only has she built brand-new kennels, but she’s also created another puppy run and revamped some of our existing kennels to make them safer, stronger, and more comfortable for the dogs in our care. 🐾

The difference this makes for our rescue pups is huge - giving them a secure and comfortable place to rest while they wait for their forever homes.

Sandy, your skill, generosity, and heart for rescue animals truly shine through in your work, and we can’t thank you enough. 💕

From all of us (and all the wagging tails at the shelter) - thank you for helping us give these dogs the safe haven they deserve.

✨ That’s a wrap for August! ✨

This month we’ve seen so many happy tails wagging and purrs rumbling as our rescue animals found their forever families. 💕

While August has been a beautiful month of adoptions, our work never stops. There are still many dogs and cats waiting for their second chance, and with your continued support, we know September will bring even more happy endings.

✨🐾 Adoption Day - Sunday 31st August 🐾✨

Some of our beautiful dogs have been waiting far too long for their forever families. Through no fault of their own, they’ve watched others come and go - still hoping that their person will walk through the gates.

Adopting an adult dog comes with so many perks:
💚 They’re already toilet trained.
💚 Their personalities are well-formed - you know exactly what you’re getting.
💚 Many already know their basic commands (and sometimes even a few extra tricks).
💚 They’re usually past the teething, chewing, and midnight wake-up calls of puppyhood.

Our long-timers like Rosa, Kato, Kirby, Scarlett, Nixon, and Jule are bursting with love, loyalty, and companionship to give. Each one is ready to be someone’s new best friend. 🐕❤️

🐾 Another Round of Happy Tails at GARG! 🐾

We’ve had another incredible run of adoptions recently, with so many cats and kittens finding their forever homes. It’s been an uplifting reminder that every adoption is a celebration... and it keeps happening thanks to you, our community. 💕

But our work is never done - we still have over 70 cats and kittens at the shelter waiting for their chance. Every day, our volunteers are hard at work in the cattery, feeding, cleaning, socialising, and making sure each one is loved until their forever family comes along.

We couldn’t do it without you. Whether you donate, foster, volunteer, or simply share our posts, you’re part of every single happy ending. Together, we’re giving these animals the second chance they deserve. 🐱✨

💜 A Huge Thank You to Drakes Sun Valley 💜

We are so grateful to Drakes Sun Valley for their generous $100 voucher donation through the Community Dollars Program. Thanks to this support, we were able to stock up on plenty of cat food and essential cleaning products - all things that keep our shelter running smoothly and our animals well cared for.

And of course, a big thank you also goes out to everyone who chose GARG as their charity when scanning their barcode at the register. Every little tap makes a big difference for the cats and dogs in our care. 🐾

It’s community support like this that helps us continue our work - one tail wag and purr at a time. 🐶🐱

Our beautiful girl Jovanna has found her forever home! 🏡💖

This sweet girl has officially joined her new family, and as you can see from the smiles all around, she’s already right where she belongs. There’s nothing better than seeing one of our rescue animals safe, loved, and ready to start their next chapter.

A huge thank you to Jovanna’s new family for opening your hearts and home - we know she’ll give you a lifetime of love (and cuddles 🐾).

🐾 Dogs of the Week: Kirby & Kato 🐾

Meet brothers Kirby & Kato - two gorgeous Kelpie X boys with hearts as big as their smiles. These lads are a bonded pair, which means they’re looking for their forever home together. Double the loyalty, double the fun, and (for this week only) - double the love for just $400. Normally $450 each, we’ve reduced their fee because these boys truly belong side by side. 💛

✨ About Them

🐕 Kato takes the lead - confident, curious, and always ready for adventure.

🐶 Kirby is the perfect sidekick - affectionate, playful, and happiest when following Kato’s lead.

Both know their basics (sitting like pros!) and are eager to keep learning with their new family.

They’d thrive with space to stretch their legs, long walks, backyard play, and of course plenty of cuddles.
