A cat has been brought into our veterinary hospital after being found wandering in the local area by a lovely member of the public.

Details:
• Breed: Semi-Long Hair Ragdoll
• Colour: White/Cream with grey/brown tail and face
• Microchipped: Yes, but not registered
• S*x: Female (probably not desexed)
• Age - Approx 1 year
• Found near: Tennyson Rd, Gladesville
• Date found: TODAY 1PM 20.11.2025

The cat is safe and being well cared for at our clinic. If you believe this might be your cat, please contact us as soon as possible.

Your patience and kindness while we hopped into our new system has meant the world to our team.

We know there have been a few little hiccups along the way, but things are already running more smoothly - and we’re getting the hang of it fast!

We’re officially hopping over to our new software system this afternoon 💻🐾

Please remember we’ll be “soft” closed from 12:30–3pm while the upgrade happens - so we won’t be able to process payments or admit/discharge patients during that time.

We’ll reopen at 3pm and start using our new system!

💻🐾 We’re hopping over to a brand-new system this Monday (13/10)!
To make the switch, we’ll be “soft” closed from 12:30–3pm while our computers are being changed over.
During this time, we won’t be able to take payments, or admit/discharge patients or boarders - so please plan around this if you’re visiting us that day.

We’ll be back up and running from 3pm Monday, ready to test out our shiny new software (and likely learning a few new tricks along the way)!

🦘🐦 The Sydney Wildlife Rescue Mobile Care Unit is back at Gladesville Vet today and tomorrow (Friday 10 & Saturday 11 October)!

The van is set up in our car park, providing free veterinary care and triage for injured or orphaned native wildlife — all thanks to the amazing team of volunteer vets and carers from Sydney Wildlife Rescue.

📸 Something exciting is happening this weekend! On Saturday, a Canadian/French film crew will be joining the team to capture consultations and highlight the incredible work being done to protect and care for Australia’s native wildlife. 🎥

We’re proud to host such an inspiring service — and grateful to play a small part in helping our local wildlife thrive.

If you find any injured or unwell native animals, please bring them to the van.
And if you’d like to support the work Sydney Wildlife Rescue does, consider donating to help keep this service running. 💚

🎉🐾 A huge congratulations to our hamper winners from the St Charles Fete! 🎁

🐶 Our dog hamper was won by two wonderful St Charles students, who came to collect their goodies with big smiles.
🐱 And our cat hamper was claimed by the prettiest winner of all - Bonnie the cat, posing beautifully with her prize.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our “Guess the Treats in the Jar” game - it was such fun seeing all the guesses and excitement. 💛

And a big thank you again to our school community and to Ryde Veterinary Clinic for helping make the day such a success!

🦘🦎 The Sydney Wildlife Rescue Mobile Care Unit is here right now at Gladesville Vet!

They’re set up in our car park today Friday 19 September, and will be back again tomorrow Saturday 20 September, providing free veterinary support for injured or orphaned native animals.

Whether you’ve come across a bird, possum, reptile, or other native wildlife in need, you’re welcome to bring them straight in to the team.

We’re so proud to host this vital service — and if you’d like to help keep it running, please consider donating to Sydney Wildlife Rescue. 💚

We’re reaching out to the community to help us find the owners of a cat named Blue 💙

Blue was brought into Gladesville Veterinary Hospital on 5 September 2025 after being found as a stray around Oatlands. His microchip is registered, but the contact number is no longer connected, and we haven’t been able to reach his owners.

Blue also has some health issues that need attention, so it’s very important we make contact quickly. If you are Blue’s owner, or know who his current owner might be, please ask them to contact us on (02) 9817 5758.

If we are unable to make contact, we will need to begin looking into rehoming options for Blue to ensure his wellbeing.

🎡🐾 What an amazing day at the St Charles School Fete! 🌞

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Gladesville Vet & Ryde Veterinary Clinic stall – we had so much fun meeting you all. 💙

Highlights from today:

🎁 Plenty of goodie bags (all gone!)
🐱 Meeting the gorgeous Jiji (our one-eyed star)
