Winnie baby’s were 2 weeks old yesterday! Eyes starting to open and have made amazing gains, they will be on the look out for forever homes in the coming weeks.

Winnie has had a set back!
She started to go down hill indicating an infection, we raced to the vets to confirm, no placenta or retained puppy were found, we decided the best and safest option was to spay her and her still be able to feed her puppies instead of trying to save her uterus for future pregnancy. I strongly felt In doing so this was what was best for her situation and the vets later notified me how lucky we were I made that decision and left her in their hands and care as her uterus ruptured and needed surgery and further extensive care. Now on multiple medications she is unable to feed her baby’s. So we are doing our best at bottle feeding and supporting them with the help of Shiloh who had her puppies three days prior. It would be too much for her to take them full time. I’m on very little sleep and a lot of stress so wish us luck 🍀
