Zia Park’s Junior and Adult Riders spent this glorious Sunday competing at our Jumping Training Show. The combinations participated in both a pure Show Jumping test as well as a Jumping Equitation class. We are so proud of our wonderful clients and horses, our coaches and grateful for our colourful, new jumping fill, created by the Adult Riders in our Zia Park Pony Club Program.

We are looking for an experienced stable hand to join our team as soon as possible, in a permanent full-time position (38h week, including weekends).

Must haves:
🐴Significant, proven experience handling and caring for horses
💡Confidence in rugging, leading, tacking up
🏋️‍♀️Physical fitness and stamina
🚗A manual driver’s license and your own reliable transport
👦A friendly, outgoing nature with the ability to relate to all our clients politely and effectively.

Preference will be given to candidates who have PCA, EA, BHS, TAFE or other comparable certificates in horse management and/or are proven, competent riders. Applicants must live within reasonable driving distance of Gidgegannup.

☃️WINTER ADULT RIDER CLINICS ☃️

🩰 Dressage 13 July 🩰
Ridden work will cover paces, transitions and effective use of the aids. You will learn how to improve your communication with your horse and how to correctly ride the test movements. Unmounted sessions will cover dressage rules for competition, explanation of test levels and requirements, how to learn a dressage test, the judge's perspective, scale of marks and calling, pencilling and judging practice.

👠 Polework 14 July 👠
In the poles sessions we will use ground poles to improve the horses' balance, suppleness, coordination, rhythm and reactions to the aids. The exercises are fun for horse and rider and great for improving rider coordination and focus. Poles exercises help riders concentrate on their spatial awareness, judgement of distance, steering, as well as proprioception for the horses.

Both clinics, are suitable for Novice and Intermediate riders welcome to bring their own horse or ride one of ours.

🌂🏏💣🎈🎉🎊📢🛒 Introduction to Arena Obstacles with Darryn Gilham 🌂🏏💣🎈🎉🎊📢🛒

Suitable for Novice and above riders, with their own or our horses.
An expert in Extreme Cowboy Racing, Darryn has many years’ experience training horses. The aim of this clinic is to learn about the horse's flight behaviour, as they will be exposed to tarps, balloons, balls, swinging sticks, pool noodles, water, and more, in a mix of mounted and unmounted sessions. Darryn will illustrate the importance and the process of desensitization, and how we can all achieve a happier and more confident horse.

This is a one-day clinic with limited places.
