Meet Douglas! 🐶 This handsome guy is one of Nurse Lucille’s dogs and if you’ve met her, you know she loves her spaniels 🧡

Doug came in recently for a dental clean, dental x-rays and a few teeth extractions. Being half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, these dogs are more likely to suffer from dental disease than most other breeds.

With his emotional support teddy by his side and LOTS of hugs and kisses from the staff, Doug was a very brave boy for his procedure. It wasn’t long before he was returning home, back to his spot on the couch 🫶🏼

Meet our most recent wildlife friend - Sheldon the turtle 🐢
This little guy came into us after swallowing a fishing hook!

One quick x-ray later, we could clearly see that hook was still just inside his throat.
Being later in the day, Dr Adrian put him in the car, and took Sheldon with him to Geelong Animal Emergency for immediate surgical treatment. Afterwards, Sheldon came back to us for some supportive post surgery care, before being collected by the team at Wildlife Victoria.

Thanks to the wonderful local Wildlife carers, Sheldon was fostered and returned back to the wild.
Hopefully now learning his lesson and staying far away from fishing lines 🎣
