A reminder that if your pets medication is due to run out before or during the upcoming long weekend, script refill requests need to be submitted by Wednesday 16th of April 💊

Be advised we can only refill medications with valid scripts. If you are unsure or wish to order more medication, call the clinic on 5272 1880 ☎️

*Where your script is not valid, you will need to book in a consultation with your vet. Our spots fill up very quickly before the long weekend. We are likely to book out well before we close for the public holidays. Please be patient and respectful to our staff during this busy period.*

A friendly reminder to please respect us 🩵🐾

We hate to make a post like this as most of our clients are wonderful but unfortunately there has been a rise in our staff being treated poorly 😞

We understand the rising pressures with cost of living and world issues but please know we are only here to try and help your pets 🐶

Unfortunately there is no Medicare or government funding for vet clinics. This is why pricing may seem high compared to human medicine.

We often get told that we are just in it for the money. This comment always breaks our heart. In fact veterinarians earn significantly less than their human GP counterparts. We are here to be advocates for pets without a voice.

When we request further diagnostics such as blood tests, x-rays, cytology ect, we are doing it to better treat and help your pet. Unfortunately pets can't talk and tell us what is wrong, therefore these tests are crucial for us to diagnose and treat.

The veterinary industry is facing a mental health crisis. Please remember to be kind, so that we can continue to be here for you and your pets in the future 💕

We urge you to look into Sophie's Legacy and the "We're only human" campaign and see the great work they are doing.

Penny the 2 month old British Short Hair kitten was the cutest little visitor to the clinic today!

She is getting up to date on her core kitten vaccinations which protect her from:
-Feline calicivirus
-Feline Herpes virus
-Feline Panleukopenia

Cats should receive vaccinations at the following ages:
- 6 to 8 weeks
- 10 to 12 weeks
- 14 to 16 weeks
- Then annually for their life.

Here at Dr Paws we offer a Vaccination for life program which after an upfront fee of $600, your pets vaccinations will be covered for its life at this clinic 🐾
