“Effie” is a beautiful, 4yo Thoroughbred mare.
On the track she was a winner from her 7 starts, and under saddle she has already shown to have a beautiful nature and willingness. She is very sweet and easy to have in the stables - and absolutely loves being around people.

Recently OTT and commencing her re-education, so far she has proven to be a straightforward ride under saddle, with no known vices. Effie is kind, genuine, uncomplicated and tries to please her rider. Her movement is free-flowing and forward, and she has shown good elasticity and responsiveness through her paces. She is calm and willing, happily returning to a walk on the buckle after working at speed.

Effie has also been ridden down quieter roads, and is beginning schooling outings floating away from home. She has shown to be happy and sensible in all her work (both at home and off-property) to date.

Henstep OTTBs proudly present her for sale as an eventing / all-rounder prospect for a capable and competent individual, ideally someone who has previous experience with OTT horses and can continue her education in the correct manner.

Although incredibly quiet and kind, please note that she is not a beginners horse.

Currently priced at $4,400 (inc. GST) to a wonderful home.

Effie has had a very successful weekend of schooling, including her first off-property outing. She handled it like a young professional, and happily worked away from home without company. 👏🏻

Effie is a very smart, willing, and kind mare that will make someone very happy in her next career.

She will be available for sale in the coming weeks, and we anticipate she will make a lovely first “large mount” for a junior rider.
