He spent five hours catching fish. His dog spent five hours giving them away.
On May 20th, a man was having one of the best fishing days he'd had in weeks. Cast after cast, fish after fish, his bucket was filling up like the dock owed him a favor. By the time he leaned back in his chair to rest, it was nearly full.
He dozed off with his line still in the water. Just in case.
When he opened his eyes and looked down, the bucket was empty.
Every single fish. Gone.
He sat there staring at it, genuinely questioning his own memory. He knew he'd caught them. He remembered dropping each one in. But the bucket was bone dry, like the whole afternoon had never happened.
His first thought was someone stole them. He started scanning the dock, getting frustrated, until someone mentioned the dock camera.
The footage told a completely different story.
His dog had been quietly pulling fish from the bucket, one at a time, walking to the edge of the dock, and dropping them into the water. Below, a dolphin was waiting. Every time the dog came back, the dolphin was right there.
The dog wasn't stealing. He was feeding his friend.
And here's the part that broke the internet. The man said his dog does this at home too. Whenever the baby cries, the dog picks up pieces of his own kibble and carries them over, dropping them near the baby like he's trying to help.
The man said he couldn't even stay mad after watching the footage.
His fish weren't stolen. His dog just found someone he thought needed them more.
Some dogs don't just love you. They love everything around you too. Even the dolphins.
