Lovely Indigo enjoys showing off her chin rest behaviour whenever she finds herself under any pressure but it is a great skill she can choose to do and it is a wonderful calm switch for her. See her wait for her snuffle ball to be filled.

This is Lappy who we first saw some years ago when he could not handle being home alone at all. His separation issues were such that his caregivers used dog daycare for part of his management. He has responded well to a comprehensive treatment plan. These days he can be home alone for 8 hours and caregivers have welcomed a baby that Lappy happily shares time and space with. One lucky Dachshund.

Perth’s Behaviour Veterinarian

Animal Sense UNIT 3/ 42 Pearse Street, North Fremantle Western Australia 6159.

Only uses scientifically proven humane techniques to change behaviour.

Dr Nicole graduated from Murdoch University in 1987 and for over 25 years worked in general small animal practice seeing the complete range of small animal medicine and surgery cases. Over time her interest in animal behaviour and the mental state of her patients became more and more her focus, and, with that in mind, she undertook extra study in the field. In 2015 she gained entrance by examination to the ANZCVS in the field of Animal Behaviour and became the second veterinarian in Western Australia to exclusively see behaviour cases. She has a passion for low stress handling, cooperative care and that treatment of behavioural abnormalities in dogs and cats. She is a teacher of veterinary behaviour at Murdoch University Veterinary School and speaks to colleagues about clinical behavioural medicine.
