✨ A Sweet Thank You to Veronica ✨

This incredible cake was made by the equally incredible Veronica - one of Forth Valley Vet Clinic’s biggest supporters (and unofficial chef!). Nearly every week she spoils us with her baking - from biscuits, scones, and slices to muffins and cakes - and always with such thoughtfulness and love.

This one was extra special, baked to celebrate our new clinic. A huge slab of vanilla mudcake and lemon (and yes, it was every bit as delicious as it looks!) topped with animals representing all the creatures we care/have cared for - including a section for our wildlife work through Tasmania Wildlife Hospital.

Veronica couldn’t find any toy cats for the top, so she brought cat napkins to make sure they were represented - that’s the kind of thoughtful soul she is. 💛

Thank you, Veronica, for not only feeding our taste buds and tummies, but for your kindness, care, and the joy you bring to everyone here. You’re an absolute gem of a human!

Just a quick heads up that we will be closed this morning (21/10/2025) from 8:30am to 10:15am for our monthly team meeting.

We are taking this time to reflect on our recent move, work collaboratively on our systems and processes and ensure we’re continuing to give you and your pets the very best care possible.

We will be back on deck and ready to help from 10:15am.

After months of planning, packing, and moving, our brand-new clinic is ready to go!

Filled with natural light and designed to give your pets the very best care.

Every detail has been created with your furry or feathered friends in mind, from state of the art equipment to purpose-built facilities.

From the entire Forth Vets team we want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing clients for your patience, support, and trust during this big move.

WE ARE CLOSED

The big day is here… we are officially closed as we move to our brand-new clinic!

While we’re a little sad to wave goodbye to our current home, we are so excited for what’s to come.

Our new space has been designed to give your pets the very best care in a bright and comfortable environment.

During the move, please note that there will be NO AFTER HOURS SERVICE, so if your pet needs urgent care, please contact another clinic.

We will be reopening on Monday 13th October from 10:30am and can’t wait to welcome you and your pets to our fresh, new home.

CLOSING EARLY TOMORROW!

Big news... We are packing up and getting ready for our move!

On Friday 10th of October, our clinic will be closing early to make the final preparations for our exciting new home.
We will reopen on Monday 13th October at 10:30am and can’t wait to welcome you and your pets into our fresh, purpose-built home!

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but rest assured, this move is all about being able to help you even more... with modern facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and the same caring team you know and love.

PLEASE NOTE
While we are in transition there will be NO AFTER HOURS SERVICE during the move.
Should an emergency arise, we recommend contacting another clinic for urgent care.

Take and look at our brand new reception!

Our signature rustic timber panels mixed with sun-filled windows and a bright open layout make this space warm and welcoming for you and your pets.

We have thought of every detail from private corners for shy cats and birds to hidden scales for dogs who are usually terrified of them.. Just to help make your visit that little bit easier.

Add in our Indoor plants and the natural light completes the space, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere from the moment you step through the door.

From the very beginning, the design of our new home had a strong focus on staff wellbeing as well as providing the best possible care for your pets.

Creating a bright, uplifting environment was a key goal during the design phase, not just for functionality, but to support our team’s wellbeing every single day while they work to help you and your pet.

The natural light also means we can rely less on artificial lighting, making the space more energy-efficient and sustainable.

We are thrilled to announce that the Forth Valley Vet Clinic is moving to our brand-new home at 901 Forth Road, Turners Beach!

Our doors are officially opening on Monday, 13th October, and the team can’t wait to welcome you and your pets to our fresh new home.

You will still find the same phone number, same team, same great care.. just at a different location!

You have asked and we are delivering!

Some of you have been worried that our rustic charm would be lost forever... but we are proud to show off that the recycled timber will be following us to our new home and STAYING as a feature throughout our reception and consultation zones.

KITTEN VACCINATIONS

We have touched on the puppy vaccination schedule so its time to shine the spotlight on Kitten vaccinations! 🐈

Bringing a new kitten into the family is such an exciting time!

Part of giving them the best start in life is keeping on top of their vaccinations.
Vaccinations protect against some nasty (and preventable) diseases.

At Forth Valley Vets we have a vaccination schedule that ensures your pet is covered no matter what their lifestyle may be:
✅ 6–8 weeks – First vaccination (F3) – This protects them against feline panleukopenia (enteritis), calicivirus and herpesvirus (cat flu).
✅ 10–12 weeks – Second vaccination (F3) – This one strengthens immunity and locks in that early protection.
✅ 14–16 weeks – Final booster – In some cases if your kitten was vaccinated before 6 weeks of age, they will require a final F3 booster vaccination.

FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) vaccination
Some cats who spend time outdoors may also benefit from the FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) vaccination.
This is a separate course starting at 8 weeks of age, with three doses 2–4 weeks apart, followed by an annual booster to keep them covered.

Even with the FIV vaccination, we strongly recommend giving your cat outdoor time in a secure netted enclosure or catio.
This way, they can safely enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, while also helping protect our local wildlife.

After their kitten vaccinations are complete, your cat will just need an annual booster to stay protected throughout their life.

If you’re unsure which vaccines are right for your kitten, give our team a call and we can book you an appointment with our vet team to work with you to find a plan to suit your cats lifestyle.

THE FORTH VALLEY VET IS ON THE MOVE!

We’re so excited to announce that we will be opening the doors to our brand-new clinic on Monday 13th October 2025.

This move is all about giving our patients and their families the very best care in a fresh, modern space, complete with state-of-the-art equipment and purpose built facilities designed with your comfort in mind.

Our new clinic has been a project many years in the making, from the design and planning through to the finishing touches currently being completed.

You will still find the same caring team and the warming charm you know and love, now with a fresh new touch to make every visit even better.

All of our valued clients will be receiving details about our new address shortly, so keep an eye out.

We can’t wait to welcome you and your pets to our new home and share this exciting new chapter with you.
