Heats of the Group 3 Daish Irrigation & Fodder Murray Bridge Cup were also held Sunday night with 5 fantastic heats. The 5 heats winners and the fastest 3 seconds progressed to the $50k final this coming Sunday and we were so pleased to see Kisauni and Galactic Nemesis run enormous seconds to make the field. Both have drawn well and we wish them all the luck in the final. Bandit Darryl was second up. Having his first look at the 680m start he went up with the lids but balanced up nice to rail through and find the lead mid race and go on for a strong win. Good boy Darryl ❤️

We headed to Murray Bridge Sunday night with a team an came home with 2 winners. First up was Toora Terry who after having a few looks around Murray Bridge stepped really nice showed good muster and went on for a great win. Good boy Paddy 💚

Last night we headed to Angle Park for the heats of the Group 3 Howard Ashton. We had Victa Krev in heat one who was first up after being prepped for the race mustered great speed as normal after box rise to find the front and go on for a great win. We’re now on to the semi finals next week. Good boy TK 🖤

Second winner for the day and our second finalist was the beautiful crazy and ultra consistent Gelactic Nemesis. Knowing how well she works in the runs at home we decided to have a crack at the series. We went into the heats thinking whatever she did she should improve on given it was her first start up the straight. Well she came out perfect as normal got to the lead and went on for a super win. Good girl Kirby 💚

As much as winning good races generally stick to mind every now and then we as trainers have to work very hard nursing some back from injury and this win meant a lot to us. Daintree Shady was flying in 2025 and whilst we always had to treat his wrists in recovery after races they became slightly worse ongoing. A decision was made with the owner to try stem cell treatment and 🤞 that has paid off. Then we had another set back with a nasty stomach muscle tear/strain.
So after recovering from that We decided to bring him back via the straight track as a plan and his run 2 weeks back was encouraging and he looked like the old Shady boy.
We decided to have a go at the straight track cup knowing how much he’d appreciate the extra step up in distance. He stepped up to his heat last Friday and got the job done in really nice fashion and we were stoked. Good boy Shady and best of luck in the final mate 🤍🖤

24/4 saw crocodile roll get the bikkies at Murray Bridge. He jumped well and went on for a great win in a nice 29.88 good boy Rusty 🤍
