To my amazing clients,

As most of you know by now, I’ve made the difficult decision to close GORJESS Grooming.

After nearly five wonderful years, life has changed a lot, and it feels like the right time for me to pursue new paths and focus on the next chapter. This has been such an emotional decision as grooming has been such a big part of my life, my identity and so many of you have become like family to me.

I can’t thank you enough for your loyalty, kindness, and support over the years. You’ve trusted me with your babies, shared your stories, and made every day so rewarding. I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the love this little business brought into my life.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

🚨 Tick Alert 🚨

One of my regular clients came in for a groom yesterday, and I noticed something unusual on his eyelid, a paralysis tick that had been feeding.

Thankfully, I was able to remove it in time before any serious effects set in. But this is a strong reminder: paralysis ticks are still active, even during winter.

🛑 Please make sure your pets are up-to-date with their tick prevention treatments.
✂️ Book regular grooming in, even in the cooler months.
🕵️‍♀️ Regular checks, especially around the face, ears, and paws, can make a big difference.

A small price update from July 1st, 2025

I’ve worked really hard to keep my grooming prices the same for the past two years, despite rising costs in just about everything. I’ve absorbed as much as I can, but it’s reached the point where I need to make a small adjustment to continue providing the same level of care and service your pups deserve.

From July 1st, 2025:
🐾 Small / Medium dogs: +$5 per service
🐾 Large and Extra-Large dogs: +$10 per service

Also, due to ongoing increases in transaction costs, I’ll now need to pass on EFTPOS fees (which I’ve covered until now).

I really appreciate your understanding and continued support – it means the world to me.

I'm very lucky with what I do that I can bring my dog or dogs to work most days so of course they are here 🐾
