🐾 Bushfire Support Information 🐾

Following the recent bushfires, we understand that some pets and wildlife may require veterinary care or advice. If you have a pet that has been affected, or if you have come across injured or displaced wildlife, our clinic can be contacted via Facebook Messenger over the weekend.

Our team will be checking messages and will respond as soon as possible to provide guidance, discuss care options, and arrange treatment where appropriate. When messaging, please include any helpful details about the animal and its condition so we can assist you more effectively.

🌟🐕Exciting day at ACE last week!🐕🌟

We welcomed a visiting CT service to the clinic , furthering our offering of advanced diagnostic imaging right on our doorstep.

CT (computer tomography) otherwise know as a CAT scan gives us incredibly detailed insights with multi dimensional x-ray modelling. This helps us reach a diagnosis quickly and confidently and means we can move ahead with treatment or surgery without delay—getting our patients the care they need, faster.🐾

It’s the perfect complement to our existing suite of diagnostic tools, which includes digital radiology, high resolution ultrasound, video endoscopy, fluoroscopy and arthroscopy. It really completes our already extensive offering for regional pet families. We feel so lucky to be able to provide this level of care right here in our community.

🌟 Meet Dr. Josh! 🌟

Dr. Josh is an integral part of the ACE Vet Hospital team, bringing his passion and expertise to every case. After earning his degree in Veterinary Science at James Cook University in Townsville, QLD, he spent two years working in a small animal GP practice in Port Macquarie, NSW, before settling in with us here in Euroa, VIC.

With a keen interest in small animal surgery, ultrasonography, and nutrition, Dr. Josh has become a valued member of our team, delivering exceptional care to pets and their families. 🩺🐾

Outside the clinic, Dr. Josh loves the thrill of downhill mountain biking, the serenity of camping, and occasionally dreams of catching waves (we’re still reminding him how far the nearest beach is! 😅). At home, he enjoys spending time with his partner Zoe and their two gorgeous Belgian Shepherds, Sasha and Mako. 🐕💛

We’re so lucky to have Dr. Josh as part of the ACE family—help us celebrate the amazing work he does! 👏

Getting an ultrasound for your furry friend can feel a bit daunting, but rest assured—it’s a safe, non-invasive, and painless procedure designed to give us valuable insights into their health. Here’s what you can expect:

✨ Quick and Convenient: Most ultrasounds are day procedures. You’ll have a consult with our vet to discuss your pet’s condition, and we’ll chat with you about the findings before you take them home.

🍽️ Fasting May be Required: To get the clearest images, usually we will ask that fast your pet beforehand—food or gas in the tummy can make it harder to see what’s going on.

😌 Relaxation Matters: For most pets, sedation is recommended to help them relax and ensure we get the best-quality images.

✂️ A Quick Trim: We’ll clip the hair over the area being scanned—ultrasound doesn’t work through fur!
