🌟 Remmy’s Journey 🌟
When Remmy the Arabian gelding arrived at YP Performance Horses, he didn’t just come with a clean slate—he came with almost no slate at all.
Only learning to float the week before arrival, he didn’t know how to tie, had never had his feet handled, and was essentially uncatchable. For most horses, that’s the groundwork they come in already knowing. For Remmy, that’s where we had to begin.
The first two weeks were all about building confidence—step by step, from the ground up. Every small win became a milestone: learning to tie, to trust, to pick up his feet, and to simply be caught without fear. It was daunting at first, but this little gelding proved us wrong in all the best ways.
💡 He wasn’t a horse you could rush—so we didn’t.
We took it slow. We let him settle. We taught with patience. And Remmy rose to the occasion.
Now, five weeks later, he’s blossomed into an easy-going, well-handled gelding—ready to begin a new chapter with a lovely young girl who’ll be taking him on the path to endurance riding.
