PAWS ON THE MOVE IS NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED Walks range from 30 to 45 minutes and can be on or off-lead. One or two visits per day can be arranged.

Paws On The Move offers an affordable, professional and caring dog walking, pet sitting and pet taxi service in the north western suburbs of Melbourne. Our pet sitting service offers piece of mind to the owner while they are away by looking after their pets in the comfort of their own home. On Sunday, it will be exactly ten years since Paws On The Move started, so it was only fitting that I will wrap things up on the same date. It proved difficult to sell the business, but I am resolved in the fact that I have put my heart and soul into this little venture. Anyone who has worked in the pet industry knows that you don’t do this for the money but for the endorphins that you are blessed to enjoy on a daily basis in the form of four furry paws 🐾🐾 There has been no greater joy than watching a dog’s tongue hanging out after a big run, or having a dog finally come out of their shell to let you pat them, or a cat purring loudly after scratching their neck, or a rabbit happily chomping on some greens while staring at you, or birds singing as soon as you get close to their cage, or two donkeys that “ee-orrr” as soon as they see your car pulling up. So many incredible memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to my four employees that have assisted me since 2017 - Hannah, Dione, Julia and Jodie. Also a huge thank you to my family that have been extremely patient with me when I’ve had to run out on Christmas Day lunch or dinner to go feed a pet, or to rescue a dog that has got himself stuck between the gate posts, or to help me climb over a fence because the front door key doesn’t work, or to visit a dog at midnight because you know they’re terrified of thunder, or to deal with police because your client’s home was broken into. I must admit this job was never boring!!

But the biggest thank you goes to my incredible clients who have trusted me (and my employees) with their precious pets, you have all been wonderful to deal with and have basically become family to me.

In case you weren’t aware…Paws On The Move is currently for sale. I’m still on the lookout for a new owner of this incredible business that I’ve built up from scratch ten years ago. So please share this post to help find a new owner. Here are some details from my original post….

We are currently undergoing a boom in the pet industry, so the time is perfect for someone with the same passion to take over Paws On The Move. With over 330 clients for dog walking and pet sitting (home visits only), there is plenty of work for the new owner. On average I am getting two to three new enquiries a week, and in fact over the past few months I have had to decline all these enquiries.

Best to check out our website to see what suburbs we service, but in a nutshell the boundaries are Craigieburn, Ascot Vale, Keilor and Coburg, so it’s a pretty big zone, therefore plenty of opportunity for work. The new owner must live within this zone otherwise it may prove difficult with the extra driving.

I’m happy to train up the new owner on the booking/invoice system we use and to provide on the job training too.
