🐾LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH SEWING, MARKET STALLS & FUNDRAISING EVENTS🐾

- On Sunday 6th July we will be holding a stall at the markets in the Maitland Showground & we are looking for volunteers who are able to assist in setting up/pulling down the stall, as well as being there to assist throughout the day (9am-1pm).

- At CCACF we hate waste & are always looking for ways to recycle & re-use. If you're handy with a sewing machine or can sew by hand, we'd love to hear from you! We have a steady list of items which need repairing ie dog jackets, beds, blankets, kennel curtains and more!

- We're looking at organising two fundraising events each year to help us keep up with the costs of running a rescue (ie medical costs, transport, beds, food, litter, parasite protection etc). We need volunteers to help organise and run these events as well as potentially reaching out to the community & local businesses for donations for raffles & sponsorship.

If you'd be interested in helping a small animal charity in their fight to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!

Please call or text the facility on 0499 900272 or email [email protected]

🐾Foster Care Update🐾

Our gorgeous boy Slim has been in foster care for a few weeks now, so we thought it was about time we did a little update on him!

Slim has settled in very well, and is winning hearts wherever he goes.
He's been showing off his catching skills at Bunnings.. He'll do anything for treats!
He loved watching the State of Origin.. unfortunately wearing blue did not help 😂
Slim's been going to the dog park which he loves (see photo of him on the bench).

Slim is completely house trained, a complete love bug and has been one of the easiest dogs Pete has fostered.

Slim is still on the lookout for his forever family. If you're interested in meeting our beautiful boy, please contact CCACF on 0499 900272 or email [email protected]

You can read Slim's adoption profile below;

To say we need your help is an understatement.

To say THEY need your help is an understatement.

This time next week marks the end of the 2024/2025 financial year, but the real question is; will there be a 2025/2026?

As a not-for-profit rescue organisation, we understand that it's highly unlikely that we'll end the year coming out even, however even we couldn't have predicted how far in the red we'd end up.

Currently we're sitting at a $17,298 loss and at this rate we don't know how long we can continue.

As most of you will know, we're not the type of people to turn away animals in need. Whether we have available funds or not, you can bet your boots we will do everything in our power to save them.

This year has been tough and only made worse by multiple large, unexpected expenses on top of our "usual" smaller cases which all adds up very quickly. Some of these cases are paying for desexing for other rescue groups & members of the public, paying the cremation costs for loving owners who can't afford to bring their animals home, donating parasite protection & food for struggling owners, bridging the cost of vital vet work for injured strays, parvo outbreaks, cat flu & kennel cough treatments, petrol costs for staff to drive all over NSW to get animals to the safety of other rescue groups, along with multiple other cases like getting sweet Pixie her flight back to her owners.

We hate having to ask, nay beg for help as we know so many people are struggling, but we know we can't continue our work without your support.

We're not expecting to raise the whole $17,000 but we're hoping to close the gap as much as possible. We know we're asking too much of you, but every dollar donated truly does save lives.

If you're able to help keep CCACF alive, you can do so via;

PayPal - https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=VQ98WNLMYFMSL
Bank Transfer - BSB - 646000
ACC - 100083072
NAME - Central coast Animal care Facility Inc
Ref - Save CCACF
Credit Card Over the Phone - 0499 900272

As a registered charity, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

If you're unable to donate, please don't feel bad. We simply ask that you share this post to help us reach a wider audience.

From the bottom of our wounded hearts, thank you

Introducing Redman!

Redman is a Domestic Short Hair born 24th January 2014.

Redman was surrendered to the facility as his owner has recently become homeless & wasn't able to give him the life he deserved. Redman is very much a loved boy and this decision wasn't made lightly.

Since being at the facility, Redman has been an absolute delight to care for. He's incredibly affectionate and loves any form of human affection.. especially if that affection includes a chin/cheek scratch.

So far he hasn't shown signs of wanting to play with toys, but this could change once he's settled into a home environment.

Unfortunately Redman doesn't enjoy the company of other animals, so he will need a home where he can be the spoilt "only child".

Redman will be rehomed to a family who will keep him as an inside cat only.

Redman is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.

If you think you could be that furever family for Redman, please contact our friendly staff via email at [email protected] or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.

His adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. He is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.

Redman is currently located in East Maitland.

Our Story

We are a dedicated team of animal lovers, desperate to secure loving homes for animals that deserve a second chance at life. We work closely with other pounds near and far to ensure as many re-homable* animals as possible can be saved. We are a no kill facility who also currently house the Central coast Pound.

Our director Dee, started in animal rescue in 2013 and is a keen advocate for responsible pet ownership, surrounded by an equally devoted team and group of volunteers, who go to extraordinary lengths to ensure all animals go to the right home. Working alongside local businesses spanning the entire Central Coast region, it is our goal to have all animals chipped and identified, while educating pet owners of the responsibility of pet ownership, unwanted litters and timely vet intervention.

100% of donations go directly towards the care of animals housed at the facility as well as transportation of animals at high kill shelters. The transport costs and unforeseen vet bills do account for many expenses and without the help of volunteers we would be unable to save as many animals as we currently do. We look forward to expanding to rescue many more animals who through no fault of their own have found themselves alone, unloved and some with only weeks to live.
