Jari Castle Dog Training Changing the world, one dog at a time

Ever wonder why having dogs walk in a straight line beside a relatively slow two-legger has inspired the creation of some of the most suppressive equipment for dogs?

Loose leash walking in this way is the antithesis to fun for most dogs. It’s so often a human want rather than a dog need.

It's a pretty tall order to ask dogs, who naturally move about their world in such a different way to human-style, to walk in the way that we do. So if we want that, because, let's be realistic, sometimes we need it for safety, then we have to make sure they get to do it their way a helluva a lot. So they get to do it do********le, if you will...

Lovely morning catching up with Pippin and his humans. Pippin is very protective of his home turf so we have things in place to help him make friends with visitors.

He’s got some interesting medical stuff going on as well so muzzle training has started to help keep his care team safe as they make him comfy and pain-free!

He’s such a vibrant and smart dog - been an absolute joy to work with!!! His humans have been so dedicated to him as well 🥰🥰🥰 If only all dogs were as lucky as Pippin in his adoption ❤️

Side note, how good do the The Muzzle Movement muzzles look? 😍

Big news for 2025! I'm having a baby!

I’m super excited to share that our family is growing—I’m expecting a baby girl! 🍼💕 This little one will make me a proud (and busy 🏃‍♀️) mother of three, joining her two big brothers. We’re all so excited for her arrival!

To prepare for this special time, I’ll be closing applications from new clients from 9th February 2025. I’ll then be seeing those clients and exisiting clients until I go on maternity leave from the end of March. My plan is to be away until at least February 2026, focusing on this new chapter with my family. Not going to lie, I'm going to miss you and your dogs!!!

To my amazing current clients: thank you for trusting me to support you and your awesome dogs. Working with you to help your family and dogs have a better quality of life is so rewarding for me. 🐾

If you have any questions or would like to schedule sessions before my break, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I'll keep sharing useful info and resources on this page but it may get quiet for a while from May 😅

Thank you for being part of this journey with me—I’m so grateful for you all! 💛

New Year's Day can be one of the busiest times for our shelters, caring for many lost and terrified pets that have run away during the frightening sound of fireworks.

Dogs are especially sensitive as they can hear 10 times better than humans, but it's important to keep all our pets in mind tonight:
✨ Make sure microchip details are up to date
✨ Create a secure and comfortable 'safe place' inside for your pet
✨ Leave the TV or music on to mask the noise outside
✨ Rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals should be housed safely inside
✨ Horses are also vulnerable to fireworks and should be securely stabled
✨ Wildlife may end up on roads trying to escape the noise, if you find injured wildlife please visit: https://bit.ly/3Sd4qDy

We wish you and your family a happy and safe New Year! 💖🥳😊
