I haven't posted for a little while, so I've missed sharing a whole lot of puppy shenanigans over the past few weeks. The 2 boys, now Bero and Ziggy, were picked up by their new owners yesterday and today. Saba is being kept by Lisa, to grow up with Molly and their family.

Here are the last photos, as we said goodbye.

Lisa has been taking the puppies into her backyard every morning for about a week now.

Just look at these fluffy little muppets! 🥰

They all take a p**p in the yard while they're there. They may end up being toilet trained at 8 weeks old at this rate!

Puppies new to play time!

I go to visit Molly and the puppies and don't seem to ever remember to get photos or video...I just spend time with them.

They've very recently gotten their hearing working well.
Two days ago, Lisa and I took Saba and Pavarotti outside for 5 minutes to give them their first knowledge that a world outside the house exists.
They've been introduced to puppy food in the last couple of days too.

Currently, Pavarotti looks like the go getter in this litter and Tipsy (because he has a white tip on his tail) is happy to get to new things when he gets around to it.

The puppies are 1 week old x

They all hit the milestone of weight gain for the first week (just) with all of them putting on between 50%-72% each.

Molly has a good life now. She's older. And it's obvious that while she's being a good mum to her puppies, she also loves her new routines and company and cuddles with her new family, and sometimes would prefer doing her own things than looking after the kids.

Lisa has done a little bit of top up feeding to get them through. Molly responded by feeding them more often.

Pavarotti is showing himself to be happy with his own company more than the other two, who insist on cuddling up to each other or Mum every time they sleep.

It's always a great feeling when they've gotten through the first week and are doing well.

This is how happy Molly is right now!

After getting a good 24hrs rest, she got up this morning and got onto Lisa's lap in the lounge for her regular morning cuddle time.

Since yesterday afternoon, Molly is drinking a lot and has been hungry. Very healthy appetite!

Yesterday and overnight, the puppies either put on or lost very small amounts of weight. One of them cried quite a bit overnight. The signs indicate that Molly's milk has taken a little time to fully come in over the first 24hrs and that one of the puppies, now named Tipsy, is taking a little more time than the other two to work out how to find Mum and her teats.

I've noticed it can take up to 3 days for new puppies to become proficient in knowing the shape of Mums body and finding those teats. Yesterday, one of them was found sucking on one of her toes.

Lisa and her household are really enjoying the magic and love, having these precious new little beings arrive and watching their beloved Molly being such a good Mum to them. And she's still her gorgeous, loving self.

All finished!

3 healthy, strong puppies, all a bit bigger than previous litters.

After over 5 hours of waiting, we took Molly to a Specialist vet who checked her out and did an ultrasound. The other puppies we saw 5 weeks ago did not continue and were reabsorbed safely and completely.

This means we have no concerns for Molly's health. She's doing incredibly well, just very tired. She's very happy and relaxed.

Puppies are all latching on by themselves now, they're strong suckers!

We have one new home definitely sorted out.
