While waiting for the Sydney Water technician to rock up, we spotted what looked like a black hose sticking out from the grass…

“What’s that hose over there?”

A closer look and… OH SH*T! 😳

That’s not a hose — it’s a Red-bellied Black Snake! 🐍

Safe to say the water issue wasn’t the only surprise waiting for us today! 😂

Have you ever mistaken a snake for something else

🐍 This video was sent in by a close mate of mine on a call out in Ipswich for an Eastern Brown Snake. Just look at that speed! 😳 I don’t think the brown snake was expecting him to move that quickly either! 😂

When dealing with one of Australia’s fastest and most venomous snakes, quick reactions and experience make all the difference. Would you have kept your cool in this situation? 😅

This Eastern Brown Snake thought it had found the perfect hiding spot… until we got the call! 😳

One of Australia’s most venomous snakes was discovered on a residential property, creating a serious safety risk for the family. Thankfully, the snake was safely located, captured, and relocated away from the home.

Always keep an eye out around gardens, sheds, garages, and outdoor storage areas, especially as snakes move around looking for food, shelter, and warmth.

Would you have spotted this one before getting too close? 👀🐍

🚨 WHAT WOULD YOU DO? 😅🐍

Our client in Redbank was expecting a normal day... not a snake convention!

Not one...Not two...Not three...But FOUR snakes were found on the property! 😳

This call out turned into a 5-hour mission, with us locating and safely removing:🐍 3 Eastern Brown Snakes🐍 1 Coastal Carpet Python

Definitely not your everyday snake call out!

With the cooler weather setting in, snakes can still be active and may share the same property if food, shelter, and suitable habitat are available.

Question is... if you walked outside and found FOUR snakes on your property, what would you do? 😂👇

Who else would be yelling “NO!” if they looked up and saw this cruising across their roof? 👇🤣

Check out this absolute stonker of a Coastal Carpet Python casually making his way across the roof like he pays the mortgage. The best part? My mate in the background absolutely losing it and yelling “NOOOOO!” 😂

🐍 Coastal Carpet Pythons are non-venomous and incredible climbers, but seeing one above your head is enough to make anyone reconsider going outside for a while!

🚨 “Honey… don’t open the back door!” 😳🐍

This family got the shock of their lives when they spotted an Eastern Brown Snake curled up in the garden just metres from their back door.

One step outside at the wrong time and this encounter could have been very different.

Thankfully, they did exactly the right thing:
✅ Kept their distance
✅ Kept the family and pets inside
✅ Called Campbelltown Snake Catcher

Eastern Browns are responsible for more snake bite incidents in Australia than any other species, but they’re not out looking for trouble. In most cases, they just want to be left alone and given a clear escape route.

This one was safely removed and relocated away from the property, giving the family peace of mind and the snake a second chance.

🐍 What would you do if you opened your back door and saw this waiting for you?

🚨 “Not the backyard visitor you expect to see in Kentlyn…” 😳🐍

Check out this absolutely stunning COMMON DEATH ADDER safely removed from a local property in Kentlyn today. These guys are masters of camouflage and can disappear perfectly into leaves and bushland — which is why it’s so important to always watch where you step outdoors 👀

Highly venomous but incredibly misunderstood, death adders would much rather avoid conflict and stay hidden. This beautiful snake was safely relocated back into suitable bushland away from homes and pets where it can continue thriving. 🌿

If you ever spot a snake, keep your distance and call a licensed professional — never attempt to catch or kill it yourself.

One of Australia’s most misunderstood snakes is the eastern brown snake. A common thing we hear is “the snake chased me,” but in most cases what people are actually seeing is a defensive display. When an eastern brown lifts up off the ground and faces you, it’s not hunting you — it’s telling you to back up and give it space.

These snakes are extremely movement orientated and react defensively when they feel threatened or cornered. The moment they no longer feel under pressure, their main goal is simple — escape and be left alone.

Respecting wildlife, keeping your distance, and not attempting to interact with snakes is the safest thing you can do for both yourself and the animal. 🐍🇦🇺
