⭐️ Hunter Pet Motel is expanding, and we are looking to add to our wonderful team. ⭐️

We are a seeking highly motivated Animal Attendant (full-time position). There needs to be availability across a 7-day roster including public holidays.

Essentials:
- Full licence.
- Own transportation.
- Able to work in a team environment and or independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- High level of customer service
- Able to complete manual tasks e.g. mowing, handling large dogs, cleaning kennels.
- Able to handle animals with confidence and patience.
- Interested in animals and their welfare.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:
- Cert 2-3 in Animal Care Services.
- First Aid Certificate.
- 1-2 years in the animal care industry.
- Experience working a full-time position.

🔴 ATTENTION TO ALL DOG OWNERS 🔴

Several reports have come in that there is an outbreak of Canine (kennel) Cough in the Hunter Valley and broader Newcastle area. This is an extremely contagious respiratory disease in dogs. It is highly transmittable and can be carried on your person and clothing. Canine Cough although we vaccinate against does not mean your dog is protected, it just makes for a mild case.

As a precaution Hunter Pet Motel is suspending all inspections at our facility for the safety of our current residents. We apologise for any inconvenience, however the welfare of our residents is paramount.

We are doing everything possible to keep the disease out of our facility and ask that you keep your pets home if they are showing symptoms. If your pet starts to show symptoms after a stay we ask that you please get in contact with us and your local Vet.

Today, we say farewell to not only a respected colleague, but a true friend.

Many years ago, Brett Wild completed his vet nursing work experience with us, and from that moment on, he remained a valued part of our extended work family. His kindness, passion for animals, and unwavering dedication to their wellbeing left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We have watched with admiration as Brett built Hunter Pet Motel into a place synonymous with exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. His commitment to providing the highest standard of care for every animal entrusted to him created a legacy that will continue for years to come.

We are proud to continue working closely with the wonderful team at Hunter Pet Motel, supporting them as they carry forward the values and standards that Brett worked so hard to establish.

Brett, thank you for your friendship, your passion, and the difference you made in the lives of so many people and animals. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
