"The Furphy Ride So Far".....

Berragoon Furphy HSH was purchased by Linda Drynan in 2018 - He was purchased after numerous trips to WA coaching, with which, Linda was taken with the bloodlines and confirmed her decision.
First appearances of Furphy being a drought baby, it was fair to say that he earned the nickname of 'Elma Fuds Donkey'- all ears and belly.
Through what seemed like a never ending drought, followed by Covid, he became quite the foster child to many. So many generous families sparing paddocks to get him through the dry. Bones & Jenny Faulkner, Tom & Nikki Lampe of Bobbiwaa, Rod & Lyn Rees are the locals who kept him going-a heartfelt thankyou to you all. Furphy then went South for a while with Gus & Rosie Stuart of Dunedoo- forever grateful.
Furphy's next crazy journey starts punching above my weight of anything i've tried to do for myself competitively. The Berragoon ASH Stud challenge! Warrick Pearsall- thankyou for your time spent helping us for our first challenge. What an incredible event.
Home from Berragoon we then commenced a show career with the help of Squeak Coldham strapping where we had a crack at Coonabarrabran show. Prisilla Cuell shared her knowledge at Wellington Show. Forever grateful, Thankyou.
Furphy's showing adventure has opened up a new circle of friends willing to share their time, expertise and knowledge with me. Helene Allomes, Tiffany Allomes, Eve Thompson, Karen Nicoll and Kimberley Campbell- simply Thankyou ladies for everything.
A different chapter opened for us this year starting with a little success for us-placing at Berragoon ASH Stud challenge- our second crack was quite a success. With some more local shows under our belt we qualified for Sydney Royal Easter Show. We can say qualifying is one thing- getting there is another.
The next pyramid of helpers come in. I became everyone's youngest child once again. My Dad always said that most success is crafted by a village, a small group of people and local businesses. Giving their time to this one I need to thank Kate Partridge, Emma Partridge, Clay & Cassie Dicko, Narrabri Vet Clinic & Michael Read, Peter Todd Farrier- thankyou for being an incredible on hand support crew. Prisilla Cuell sent us to Sydney in style with beautiful custom rugs, Squeak Coldham sent the big grooming kit with us and Tallee Warrener lent us probably the most important of all-the saddle! Thankyou to everyone for the endless support & messages once we were there.
The first piece of this pyramid simply started with a humble couple Matt Lucinda Hamilton of Ningle Stock Horses with the simply purchase of a couple of pups from me
(which seems they have been paying for ever since). Furphy meeting the direction and straight talking- They helped me get Furphy onto peoples radars and advertise him as genuine sire prospect.
Another mention must be made to Rebecca Hamilton Tully & Scott Hamilton.
This is not really a post for comments back, its just a post to share real gratitude to the people who have contriubted in such a positive way to Furphy and his journey so far.

Please note: You do not need to master every single task listed below to apply. We are looking for the right person first and foremost.
💰 The Package:
2 or 3 days per week initially (Days and hours may be extended for the right person!).
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on your experience and skills).
Accommodation: Basic on-site accommodation provided if required.
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP.
✨ Potential Responsibilities (Depending on your skillset):
Core Focus (Domestic): Home cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a tidy household inside and outside proximity. Garden/Pool maintenance duties included.
Core Focus (Admin): Routine data entry, managing emails, scheduling, and general paperwork using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Including: Systems & Supply Management: Keeping track of repeating tasks, monitoring stock levels, reordering supplies/consumables, and documenting/recording household or business systems so everything runs efficiently.
Additional: The Animal & Outdoor Bonus: Opportunity to feed and care for a diverse animal crew (cats, dogs, horses, buffalo, goats, and seasonal weaner cattle), or basic station duties.
Advanced Scope (For experienced candidates): Bookkeeping using Xero, digital marketing/social media interests, utilizing AI tools to optimize workflows.

Ability to work independently, manage your own tasks, and take initiative.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and progress.
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (essential due to our rural location).
