Good morning everyone 🐩😊
With 2021 just around the corner I wanted to take this opportunity to explain a couple of small changes I had to make this year but will continue on into the new year.
The first is grooming days.
As many of you know I am back to teaching at our local school. Teaching is my main form of income however I do still enjoy grooming and still wish to continue. I will be only grooming 1-2 days a week and 1 weekend per month. This year I burnt myself out working so much so I need to take care of me so I can take care of your fur babies. This will mean prebooking is a must and appointments will be limited. preference will be given to regular clients and those that miss an appointment will be required to pay a cancellation fee and prepay their next grooming session. If you must move an appointment please give me AT LEAST 24hrs notice and if you require a different day I may be booked out for weeks/months in advance. I will know which days I will be grooming soon (waiting for conformation from the school) and will let everyone know.
The 2nd is Pick Ups 🐶
I am going to continue with either texting or calling to let you know when your pups are ready to go. There are several reasons why I will now no longer give you time to pick up... PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP BEFORE I HAVE LET YOU KNOW 🙏😊
1. Many dogs come in with special needs or medical issues, this means it can take a lot longer to groom them.
2. ALOT of the dogs I groom are now becoming older this means THEY can no longer be groomed as fast as they used to be... 🐶
3. I work by myself 99% of the time. This means I do EVERYTHING from start to finish... 😊👍
4. Equipment can malfunction... 😒
5. ALOT of you pre-book 6mths worth of appointments on pick up💖... And enjoy a chat (me too 😊) this takes time.
6. The dog before yours may not have been as compliant as they usually are OR they may just be a difficult dog to groom in general...
7. Sometimes I get walk in enquiries, so I need to chat to them 😊
8. Sometimes Dogs have bodily function accidents... I have to clean these up 🤮🙃
9. Power can go out
10. I maybe working when I am not 100%, headache, pulled muscles etc
Most Small- Medium sized dogs are in and out in 2hrs depending on breed, clip style and behavior... Larger dogs will obviously be longer depending on breed, clip styles and behavior. *Note* this is a guide only
Lastly I would like to thank all my clients who understand life happens. sometimes meetings run late, my kids are sick or babysitters are unavailable. I am truly so thankful to all my clients who have been able to move appointments slightly when things come up.
Thank you all for your continuing support and looking forward to a better year in 2021! 🐶🐕🐩❤
