Today is predicted to be a wild day of weather. Please stay informed using Vic Emergency or BOM updates.
Things to do that can help keep your pets calm and safe:
✅Keep pets inside/sheltered securely from the weather
✅Close blinds and curtains to limit what they can see outside
✅Check gates and fencing are secure from strong winds
✅Turn up the radio, music or TV to block out the noise
✅Provide access to safe areas in your house like crates, darker rooms etc.
✅Check pets are wearing collars with ID tags, and contact details are present, in case they do go missing.
If you find a lost or stray animal within Campaspe Shire, please call the community rangers on 1300 666 535.
The Severe Weather Warning for Damaging and locally Destructive Winds forecast across all districts for today remains current.
Locations which may be affected include Horsham, Warrnambool, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Wangaratta, Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
Be mindful of your safety throughout the day, particularly as we see strong winds pass through from early this afternoon:

🌳 Stay away from debris, trees down and fallen powerlines.
🏠 Stay indoors and away from windows where possible.
Before the weather hits, be sure to park your vehicle undercover or away from trees, clear your gutters and drains, and secure loose outdoor items around your home or business.
