James Lewis "Pine" Johnson (1915–1990) was a legendary American Quarter Horse trainer renowned for his work with cutting horses, most notably the iconic stallion Poco Bueno. Johnson's innovative training techniques and deep understanding of equine behaviour revolutionised the sport of cutting, setting new standards for athleticism and performance. His influence extended beyond the United States, leaving a lasting impact on the global equestrian community.

In the 1970s, Johnson's expertise reached Australian shores when he conducted cutting horse clinics in Victoria, making a significant contribution to the development of the sport in Australia. His visits inspired a generation of Australian riders and trainers, laying the groundwork for the country's cutting horse scene.

One of Johnson’s most influential collaborations in Australia was with Max McTaggart, a talented young horseman who went on to become an icon in the Australian cutting horse world. Johnson’s mentorship helped shape McTaggart’s skills and confidence, and Max became a pivotal figure in passing on those skills to the next generation of Australian horsemen, young men such as Corey Holden and Troy Randall. Through this lineage, Pine’s training philosophies and high standards took root in Australia and continue to influence the sport today.

To honour his enduring legacy, the Australian Cutting Horse Co. established the Pine Johnson Memorial Open event. This annual competition celebrates Johnson's contributions to the sport and serves as a testament to his lasting influence on cutting horse training and competition in Australia.

One strip of fake lambs wool, one strip of felt, 4 strips of webbing and 2 buckles which of used for another job. This is what is in a $200 girth. I wonder how much it would cost to make.

Why pay $32/kg at *insert Major supermarket* for industrial-scale beef when you can enjoy tender, homegrown vealer from our farm for just $20/kg — with far superior quality and a story you can trust?

Supermarket beef often comes from large-scale operations where quality can be inconsistent, and meat may be treated or packaged to extend shelf life. In contrast, our vealer is processed locally, packed fresh, and delivered with integrity — straight from our paddock to your plate.

Our cattle are raised naturally on open pastures, with plenty of space to roam, clean air, and fresh water — no feedlots, no stress, and absolutely no added hormones or unnecessary chemicals. They graze on lush grasses and are cared for with respect, ensuring healthy animals and rich, flavoursome meat.
