After eight years at the helm our wonderful CEO Kathleen Burton is moving on in October.

Kathleen has made a huge impact here and we have seen our farm grow, mature and blossom under her thoughtful and practical leadership. Kathleen has created a clear strategic direction for the farm, built financial sustainability through enterprise and assembled an engaged team passionate about the purpose and values of Perth City Farm. She’s managed to do all of these serious things plus teach workshops and run creative events, all with kindness, generosity and a vibrant sense of humour.

Whilst we are sad to see Kathleen moving on, we are grateful for everything she has put into getting us where we are today, leaving the Farm in a terrific place for new leadership.

We are now looking for the next wonderful person to lead Perth City Farm as we work towards our vision of a community of people living sustainable lives in harmony with nature. Today we combined our volunteer morning tea with the Threatened Species Bakeoff!

Martina baked a chuditch and Paula fritillary butterflies to be entered into the organisations category as Perth City Farm.

Another way we love to connect with our community is through corporate volunteering days!✨

This corporate team swapped desks for a day in the garden and had an amazing day! From planting native plants (for one participant, it was their first time planting anything!), mulching garden beds, prepping the market garden, and seeding green manure.

The whole crew got stuck in, and we couldn't be more grateful for the energy they brought.
