Welcome to Team Delta, Ally Derrig
Ally’s grooming journey began in 2012 while working with Petbarn, where she completed her initial grooming training under Janelle Austin. It was there that her passion for gundog grooming first began.
Dogs have always been part of Ally’s life. She grew up in the dog show world, exhibiting her family’s Rhodesian Ridgebacks under the Sanyati prefix from the age of ten before later owning and grooming Chinese Cresteds. Today, her family includes three Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Maze, Envy and Bond, along with their much-loved senior Amstaff cross, Boris.
For the past five years, Ally has owned and operated WOLF & CO. Dog Groomingsuccessfully balancing a busy home salon while raising her three young children.
Always passionate about learning, Ally spent years attending grooming seminars and watching competitions before finally stepping into the competition ring in 2023, encouraged by fellow Delta Ambassador Sophie Infield.
That leap of faith quickly turned into remarkable success. Ally won her very first scissor class with a Bedlington Terrier at the Sydney Royal Easter Show before going on to earn Top Groomer 2024, selection for the 2025 FCI Groom Team, and most recently, a place on the 2026 Quokkas Australian Groom Team.
For Ally, competition grooming is about far more than winning. It is about continually learning, challenging herself and striving to produce the very best groom possible every time she steps into the ring.
