🐾 It’s Not Just About Walking Dogs — It’s About Balancing Energy. 🐾

When I create my pack walks, I’m not simply putting a group of dogs together and letting them walk.

I carefully consider the energy, temperament, confidence and social skills of each dog.

Why? Because dogs are incredibly sensitive to the energy and behaviour of the dogs around them.

A calm, balanced dog can help create a calm environment. But when a dog becomes overly excited, frustrated, anxious or fearful, that energy can quickly spread through the group — and this is where behaviour can change.

A dog who is normally calm may become:
🐕 Over-excited and unable to settle
🐕 More vocal
🐕 More reactive
🐕 More intense in their play
🐕 More likely to chase or fixate
🐕 Or even fearful when the environment becomes overwhelming

This is why socialisation isn’t about making dogs interact with every dog they see.

It’s about teaching them how to exist calmly around other dogs, read social cues, regulate their emotions and feel safe within a group.

Sometimes that means allowing dogs to walk together.
Sometimes it means creating more space.
Sometimes it means pairing certain dogs together and sometimes it means giving a dog a little break from the group.

There is no “one size fits all” pack. ❤️

I intentionally build my packs around compatible personalities and energy levels because my goal isn’t simply to have a group of dogs walking together.

My goal is to create a balanced environment where dogs can learn, decompress, socialise and enjoy being around other dogs without becoming overwhelmed.

Because a successful pack walk isn’t the loudest, craziest or most exciting one.

It’s the one where the dogs finish feeling calmer, more confident and more connected than when they started. 🐾💙

🐾 Building Confidence in Your Puppy Starts With Exploration! 🌿

One of the most important things we can give our puppies isn’t just obedience training — it’s confidence. 💙

Young puppies are learning about the world every single day, and positive experiences in different environments can help them grow into calm, adaptable and resilient adult dogs.

🌳 Explore different environments — parks, bushland, beaches, quiet streets and new places
👣 Experience different surfaces — grass, sand, gravel, wooden decking, concrete and uneven ground
🔊 Hear different sounds — traffic, birds, machinery, children, water and everyday household noises
👋 Meet different people — different ages, appearances, voices and ways of moving
🐕 See other animals — while learning that they don’t need to interact with everything they see
🚗 Experience everyday life — car trips, vet visits, cafés and new surroundings

The goal isn’t to overwhelm your puppy with as many experiences as possible. It’s about introducing new things at a pace they can handle, allowing them to observe, investigate and move away when they need space.

✨ Confidence comes from choice, safety and positive experiences.

A puppy who learns that new things are safe and manageable is much more likely to become a confident adult dog who can navigate the world with you.

So get out there, explore, sniff, climb, investigate and discover — but let your puppy set the pace. 🐶💙

Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for your incredible support over the past 6 years. ❤️

Unfortunately, with the rising cost of living, I’ve made the difficult decision to take on a second job. Because of this, I’ll be making some changes to my dog walking schedule.

From now on, I will no longer be offering walks on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays. Instead, I’ll be running pack walks on Wednesdays and Fridays, with:
🐾 5 spaces available at 8:30am
🐾 5 spaces available at 11:00am

To help make things manageable alongside my new work commitments, I’ll also only be servicing the Dunsborough area and will no longer be able to travel to surrounding suburbs.

This wasn’t an easy decision, and I’ll truly miss the dogs I won’t be able to continue walking. Thank you all for trusting me with your beautiful pups and supporting my small business over the years—it has meant more than you know.

Dog training spaces will be available from 1pm-5pm Wednesday and Friday too. Can still do these in Busselton Vasse and Dunsborough and surrounds.

If circumstances change in the future, I’ll be sure to let everyone know. Thank you again for your understanding and continued support. Amy ❤️

🐾 Dog training doesn’t have to be hard… it should be fun! 🐾

One of the biggest misconceptions about dog training is that it’s all about strict rules and endless repetition. The truth is, the best training happens when both you and your dog are enjoying the process.

Training is about so much more than teaching a sit or a stay. It’s about building trust, strengthening your bond, improving communication, and creating a lifelong connection with your best friend.

Every game you play, every success you celebrate, and every moment you spend learning together helps your dog feel more confident and helps your relationship grow stronger.

Whether you have a brand-new puppy, a boisterous adolescent, or an older dog that could use a little guidance, training should be something you both look forward to.
