The joy of life 🖤🤎🤎🖤
Shifting horses and cleaning out yards ready for a maiden to foal and thought great opportunity to wean another ……. feeling rather proud of my progress, I look up and see Totti with a placenta hanging out, no foal to be seen and the entire “support crew” around her. Not cool.
This foal has hit the ground and life is intense. Is it damaged for life as direct pressure was definitely present? Being flattened by an overly interested yearling with no feel? No such thing as balance with draw and drive in this algorithm with the overly interested herd.
Is this foal going to hold trauma and will it bubble up at our first handling? Or under saddle? Can we be that thorough with our knowledge and understanding? Does it really matter if we know or not?
She was kindly manhandled to the foal yard with mother in the lead and/or tow. What needed to be was needed to be.
She found her first drink, enjoyed sitting in the fading sun rays, and had a flat out snooze.
Life is life. Do we need to attach so much sh*t to stuff that happens 😏

Great day yesterday with young Tilly having a saddle on the first time. And introducing the bridle to Andie.
Today we had both saddled cruising around on their own and then long reining the beautiful girls to the mounting block.

Wonderful evening with 3 beautiful mares. 2 have been through a c**t starting with Steve Burke of Horse Power Training and recently we have attended 2 clinics with Mark Langley.
Today we practiced long reining while backing the horse to the mounting block ready 😊
We have Tilly, Dakota & Andie. 🤎🩶🤎

We welcome Western Waler Applejack from Dudley Park Toffee a rising 4 yr old wildie. Atm sire is unknown. Hopefully DNA will tell us a story.

So sunday Danee and Sam attended the AHHA Spring show at Wallangarra pony club. Western waler Katoomba and Redgum Miakoda were loaded and on the road by 430am. They arrived at the show with plenty of time to spare much to danees demise lol. Both horses were super chilled for the entire day and coped really well with the weather. Results for the day were:

WESTERN WALER KATOOMBA
4th best presented waler.
1st Filly 3yrs and under
CHAMPION Mare/Filly

Just missed out on supreme but the judged really liked her and she behaved like she had done it everyday of her life.

REDGUM MIAKODA

1st Best presented Waler
2nd Mare 4yrs and over

1st ridden female waler
Reserve champion ridden Waler.

Danee and Koda looked a treat when they hit the ring just as is started to rain. But that didn't stop them from doing a flawless workout.
