Had a great rally day yesterday. With a few of our members away competing at Cudal Show the remaining members were able to get more 1 on 1 instruction with our guest instructor. A big thank you to Fiona Wright for her expert instruction. The kids all took something away from it to work on at home

Massive Congratulations to our club member Makayla and all the other zone four riders who have been at state sporting this weekend.
The grounds weren't the best with 40 Mil of rain but Makayla still managed to get some great results in such hard riding conditions.

With a time of only 0.021 seconds behind the fasted time.

First rally day of the year. Was hot and humid but the kids all had fun.
Our Club AGM and first Rally Day are being held this Sunday 18th February 2024.
Details for the day:
* Ready to ride by 9am (to beat the heat)
* Morning Tea break (please bring something to share)
* Ride till approximately 12pm (if the weather allows)
* Sausage Sizzle Lunch ($5 per person - cash please)
* AGM & General Meeting (approximately 1pm) - we would love to see some new committee members! Many hands make light work.
Please ensure:
* All riders must be members before they can ride
* All children must have an adult as a member also (can be riding or non riding)
* Bring plenty of water!
* Membership information has been emailed to all riders - if you didnt receive this or need any help please let me know.

Last weekend some of our members travelled to Rylstone for a Mounted Games competition and got to meet and compete against the Australian Pony Club Mojnted Games Team. The team were so lovely and the kids are lucky to have great role models - below is a photo of Dubbo member Charlie with some of the team! 😀
Well after a few days to recover from a big weekend of camp there are lots of people who helped make it possible …
* A special shout-out to our visiting instructors who gave up their time out of the goodness of there hearts to help our kids learn new skills:

- Dave Lawson (Campfrafting)
- Lex and Sam Harness Horses)
* A big Thankyou to our club instructors who also shared their skills with our riders
* Thankyou to those who helped in the kitchen, including all the baking for our morning and afternoon teas and special shout-out to the chef for the Roast dinner on Saturday night (it was delicious!)
* Thankyou to those who helped with setup, packup, directing our troops, getting kids ready and anythjng else I’ve missed!
* Thankyou to DESA for the use of the showjumping arena for our lessons.
* Lastly Thankyou to all the kids who attended - it was a lovely bunch of kids who were all well mannered and a pleasure to work with.
Camp is alot of work and without everyone’s help it just wouldn’t come together! So Thankyou everyone 😀

A Few of the Members of Blue and Red troop were tasked with creating and performing a routine at the completion of camp after practicing for 1 hour a day each day. These kids had never ridden together before and picked up the routine quickly. Flags were to be carried but with the wind it was safest to leave them out of the routine.
A special presentation of Horsemanship and Liberty work by Duncan Edwards entertained the kids over lunch break
Well Dubbo Horse and Pony Club camp 2023 was a roaring success. A great bunch of kids attended from all over the Central West. A nice relaxed and friendly environment was provided. A range of activities were offered with a special demonstration of Horsemanship and Liberty work over the Lunch break
