A NIGHT AT THE CLINIC WE WON'T FORGET

Last night at the clinic was one of those moments that reminds us why veterinary work is both incredibly rewarding...and sometimes really hard.

It was late - well past closing- when our phone rang. Out of hours calls always mean someone is in trouble, so even after a full day on her feet, one of our vets headed straight back in. No hesitation, No complaints, just pure dedication to helping an animal in need.

When the owners arrived, they were distressed - their cat had been hit by a car. Our team moved quickly. The vet assessed the cat, offered treatments, was told the cat hasn't been eating, the vet went to get some food to see if the cat would eat.

And in that moment....the owners walked out.

No goodbye.
No discussion
No payment
They simply left the clinic

Out of hours care is one of the hardest parts for our industry. Our Vets sacrifice their, evenings, family time, weekend, public holidays and rest because animals deserve immediate care. But when people walk out without paying or even acknowledging the service provided - it hurts. Not just financially, but emotionally.

We share this not to shame, but to raise awareness.
