🍭Candy - 7 month old Cavoodle.

We got asked to help Candy and her owner out.

The task was loose leash walking, after initial assessment, we discussed options and decided together what our approach would look like.

There is no one size fits all approach, our approach is a collaboration with what the owner is comfortable training and doing, of course discussing pros and cons of different loose leash walking styles, many ways to teach this skill.

In this session we had success, Candy is still learning, but with clarity in training, success can be reached much quicker! (All dogs are different of course!)

Another one of our Sunny x Chup puppies head west! She was such a loving puppy, she was stable, had humour, and loved a good cuddle on the couch, she will be missed but will be in great hands with our friends in Perth!

We will hopefully see her in a few months, definitely looking forward to that.

Sunny

4.5 years young

We accomplished a lot, and she taught me a lot. We can’t wait to get back into training! Slow and steady, til then we just do what the puppies did for socialisation haha always good for a revisit.

💚 Green Collar (aka “Sox”) – Now Available 💚

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our green collar girl is back on the lookout for her person.

“Sox” is something a little special. She’s the only sable pup in the litter, with four white feet to match the name — and a personality that’s just as memorable.

✨ About Green / Sox:
• Environmentally sound and confident in new places
• Naturally curious and keen to engage
• Strong food drive (easy to motivate, loves working for rewards)
• High cuddle drive – happy to switch off and be close
• Balanced, thoughtful pup with a lovely off-switch

She would suit a dog trainer, dog sport home, or an active pet home that enjoys doing things with their dog, not just owning one.

This is a pup who can learn, and then happily curl up with you at the end of the day.

Sunny x Chup

We did a few things here, the obstacles are a non event for them, the part I wanted them to experience was the resilience and to push through even though it seems impossible.

It went on for a good 5 minutes (it’s been sped up/cut out) until I could see motivation dropping abit, so I gave a little help, and with some mimicry involved they got there in the end! 🎉

This does not mean one pup is better than the other, it’s purely to let them have an experience, and to work through frustration and bit of struggle.

But in saying that yellow (Sabo) found the 3rd bowl, and was first one to enter for big bowl (I swear no favourites was just the timing of help! 😂)

Sunny x Chup Litter

10 puppies have been spoken for, bitter sweet, they’ll be leaving the nest in 2 more weeks.

We have one puppy left, orange collar (girl), who if we find no home, will then continue on to be developed for a service role.

Orange (girl) shares many similarities to Sunny when she was a puppy, confident, stable and with a little sass!

She would need the right home/match before we consider letting her go.

Jatz 🐾

Had the pleasure of meeting this legend of a dog today.

Shoutout to Sigrid at .canine for laying some solid foundations — made it super easy to pick up right where they left off.

This dog didn’t have the easiest start, but credit where it’s due: the handler has put in serious work. You’ve taught Ivan’s Chase & Catch game beautifully — the attitude, the cooperation, the want to engage was all there. It was awesome to see.

In today’s session, we focused less on control and more on confidence. The goal wasn’t to suppress — it’s to unlock. And once we get there, the sky’s the limit.

Really proud of this team. The bond is clear, and the effort shows. 💪🐕
