The ruby is typically known as the main birthstone for those born in July, however at My Best Friends Farewell, we use the ruby to remember those we cared for during this month, in the hope their souls have found new life. We envision a place filled with love, happiness, sunshine, and rainbows; a serene haven where their souls can thrive.

Like it or loathe it, Facebook is great for memories. This photo from 5 years ago of our boy (who has since passed) just came up in my feed 💙 This was our Justice living his best life reminding us that it was his house and we were just privileged to live in it 🤩

At My BFF we are so grateful for every family that entrusts us to care for their beloved pet family member. Our focus is always on providing the very best service we can, and we sincerely hope that we have met that trust.

In saying this, we want to acknowledge that we haven’t always met the mark when it comes to our social media presence and our responses to the wonderful community that engages with and supports us. We are constantly amazed by the recommendations we see on community pages, and more recently, the support when we suffered the loss of one of our own.

Please know we saw and felt every message and comment and while we always intended to respond to each and every one, time got away from us and for that, we are deeply sorry. We are truly grateful for your kindness and support, and you have our word that we will continue to work hard to do better and be more responsive moving forward.

As a small family business we are so appreciative of our community, and your support never goes unnoticed, we just need to do better at saying Thank You.

Over the last couple of weeks our hearts have been a little heavier as we farewelled one of our own 🤍

This is our beautiful girl, Saedie. For 12 wonderful years, she was so much more than a dog, she was Tahlia’s first baby, best friend, greatest support, and the heart of our family long before we welcomed the human babies into the world. She stood beside Tahlia through many chapters of her life, offering unconditional love, quiet comfort, and unwavering loyalty.

Saedie was there before My Best Friends Farewell ever existed, and in so many ways, she helped shape the compassion and understanding behind what we do every single day. Loving her has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives, and saying goodbye has been one of the hardest.

While we grieve the loss of our own beloved girl, we also find comfort in knowing she will be cared for with the same love, dignity, and respect that we promise every family who trusts us with their precious companions. We also know that she has made some beautiful new friends for her next journey.

Run free, our beautiful Saedie. Thank you for every tail wag, every cuddle, every adventure, and every moment of unconditional love. You will forever be my first baby, and you will always be deeply loved and never forgotten. Until we meet again. 🌈🐾🤍

We're thrilled to share a sneak peek of our brand new space! Although we've only moved a few units down from where we were, we've been working tirelessly to transform our new space into a haven that's just as warm and welcoming as our last💕

We extend our sincerest gratitude to the families we've had the privilege of serving over the past few months for your patience and understanding during this transition. Your kindness has meant the world to us and we hope you have felt the heart of what we are trying to achieve (even if it was less than perfect on your visit due to work in progress). 🙏

We can't wait to share more updates and reveal our new sanctuary. Stay tuned!

🎉 Three Years of My Best Friend’s Farewell Pet Cremations 🎉

Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate a milestone that means so much to us.

Over the past three years, we have had the privilege of caring for more than 2,000 beloved pets and supporting the families who love them. Being trusted during such an important and emotional time is something we never take for granted.

Since opening our doors, we’ve watched our team grow, welcomed new faces into the office, and even outgrown our original space, moving just two doors down to continue expanding our services for the community.

To every family who has entrusted us with their best friend, every veterinary clinic that has partnered with us, and every member of our community who has supported us along the way—thank you. Your trust, kindness, and support have made these three years possible.

We feel incredibly fortunate to do what we do every day, and we are so grateful for the community that continues to stand behind us.
