Bit of a shout out to the amazing bunch of friends we have in Darwin ❤

From a business perspective, November is the best time for one of us to take a holiday. Cyclone Fina disagreed... obviously.

We both moved to the NT away from our family but with Tom away overseas- our family of friends were absolutely incredible. We are so grateful for the help we recieved.

Whilst we experienced minor damage (tree down and a couple of aviaries we're not super fond of anymore) The animals safety was never in question and it has helped shape our future plans for our enclosures and our emergency plans.

Picture is of Splat, face-timing Dad, telling him about the living room glamping situation we had going on (we think)!

BAT-ten down the hatches, TC Fina is here! We've horses at the house, curlews in the (pop-up) chameleons and bandicoots in the bar to name a few. Hold on tight Darwin!

Someone say upgrade!! Just got a new order for our display tanks from and ecotech terrarium to offer even large Reptile Displays, and hopefully some Invertebrate and Native Mammal Displays soon as well! Keep a watch to see how we turn these into amazing iconic areas of the Top End!

🦘Brush-tail Bettongs are a critically endangered marsupial that were once widespread across Australia.

🦘Considered locally extinct in the NT there is a small pocket of reintroduced animals in a predator free reserve NW of Alice Springs.

🦘Our pair of bettongs are part of a Wildlife Exhibitors Network managed species project where we work in partnership with other zoos to maintain a genetically diverse, viable captive population should we ever need to call upon them to preserve our unique and incredibly special wildlife for future generations.
