Westcoast Castle Equestrian offers a wide range of services. Our 5 acre property in Darling Downs offers boutique style agistment with top class facilities. Our 40 acre property in Boddington is starting to get set up and in the near future will provide spelling, possible XC training and be the hub of our breeding facilities.

Full circle moment for us here ❤️

As Eirinn Darby was bred by long term client of ours Paddy Aseirinn. He came as a weanling for us to do some handling, education and to sell on behalf. He was snapped up by a good friend of ours Kaeleigh Brown and now 3 years later, Kaeleigh brought him to us to break in!

He spent 2 weeks with Babies & Brats Groundwork/Liberty Specialist - Louise Crosbie & Candie Jade for some pre breaking work first and he has been a dream!

A testament to his breeder for breeding a horse with such a great temperament and his owner for continuing his handling and education, he has been one of the easiest breakers we have had! He’s gone home now for Kaeleigh to get to know him under saddle for a few weeks then he will have a nice spell to do some more growing and maturing ❤️

🏆AWHA National Tour Results 🏆

Back in March we had the WA leg of the AWHA National Tour with judge Helen Chugg. The tour travelled around to the rest of WA and the final scores have been uploaded.

We are super happy with some National placings our horses received

WCC Legacy (Lord Larmarque x BBD Fortune)
7 year old AWHA Licensed Stallion competed in the led, ridden and free jump section and received a platinum sash in each section on the day. He also ended up with the following results nationally.

🥇WA state champion ridden Studbook horse
🏅5th place Australia ridden Studbook horse
🥇 Winner of the Studbook Freejump horse 4-7 years

Lyngarie Ciccolato (NP Carentino’s Boy X Gymnastik Star)
5 year old mare was entered in just the free jump classes. She ended up with the following results

WCC Luminosity (Lord Larmarque X Homestead Park Silverado) bred by us and since sold to Jacinta Fernihough. Yearling WIR c**t competed in the led section and came away with the following

Jakomas Junglebook (NP Cougar X TB)
15 year old WIR Gelding who was owned by us for most of his life but has since been sold to one of our agistors Grace Hitchens competed in the led, ridden and free jump sections and came away with the following

🥈2nd in the WIR Free jump over 8 years

How did I forget to post this photo of As Eirinn Le Dieudonne when I was getting him ready for the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) Ltd National Tour 😱

Found it going through my photos while making a little video of him and realised i never posted it and thought it deserved its own post!

He might be a little fluffier now and going through a growth spurt but that elegant swan is under that fluff!

As Eirinn Le Dieudonne (Lord Larmarque x Elemer Unbelievable) attended Bibs and Booties on Sunday and was such a well behaved baby!

Was great to wash and plait early in the morning, travelled great, tied up to the float while he was gotten ready, trotted out like a pro, stood on the edge ring and couldn’t care less about all the planes overhead at Kings Meadow!

He came home with the following

🏆 Champion Registered Heavy Horse Foal
🏆 Champion Arabian Derivate Foal
🥈Reserve Champion Warmblood Foal

This guy is going to be an asset to any performance home! So level headed and trainable and one of the last Lord Larmarque babies given he is now retired from stud. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re interested in adding this future superstar to your stables.

We took As Eirinn Lady Golighty and her dam Shadow Girl xx to the Dual Code Spectacular for an outing last weekend.

Little Leafy 🍃 was the only foal there and competed in the Part bred TB Jnr 3 years and under where she was dashed Runner Up Junior managing to beat a horse older than her! We were so happy with this little fillies behaviour. She is a dream to prep, travel and compete taking everything in her stride! She’s going to be a super performance horse for the future with the best temperament you could ask for!

Shadow Girl xx competed in the mare four and over class for a 4th place. We were also really happy with this mares behaviour, it can be a little stressful for a maiden mare to go to a big show with her foal but she trotted out really well! She is also back in foal for a full sibling to Leafy.

These girls are available as a 3 in 1 package for an extremely reasonable price. Option to seperate too if that was needed.

Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) Ltd WA State Championships

We took Paddy Aseirinn two foals to the State Show on Sunday and both were foot perfect! First outing off property and they were gems. Floated perfectly, trotted out in hand and stood like little show horses! I couldn’t have been prouder of them both.

As Eirinn Golightly (WCC Legacy X Uncle Moo xx) came home with Reserve Champion Studbook filly foal. This filly is smart, trainable and well put together. She has a lovely length of rein, a strong hindquarter and can move!

As Eirinn Le Dieudonne (Lord Larmarque X Jeanal Summer Solstice) came home with Champion WIR Colt/gelding foal and Runner up Foal of Show. Teddy has already been gelded, he is elegant, correct and has the best nature! So easy to do everything with and a pleasure to work with.

Both of these foals are available to new homes. Full adverts to come in the coming days.

A huge thank you to everyone who came on board and sponsored the rugs, garlands and floral rosettes for the WA State Championships. We love putting this event on each year and the support from the members means we can continue doing it each year.

Photos from the recent Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) Ltd National Tour

We presented 3 of our own horses plus 2 for Paddy Aseirinn. 2 others who were recently sold were also presented by their new owners.

WCC Legacy (Lord Larmarque X BBD Fortune) came away with a platinum sash in the led, ridden and free jump with multiple 9s and comments such as great type, sensible, good mover, scopey, good natural balance and one for the future. Very excited about this young stallion who just tries so hard of everything that is asked of him.

Lyngarie Ciccolato (Noblewood Carentinos Boy x Gymnastik Star) did the free jump just missing out on a platinum sash with an 82.5% with comments of light, smart and good use of body. Looking forward to getting this little mare out under saddle later in the year

WCC Limitless (WCC Legacy X Homestead Park Silverado) having a growth spurt and scoring 80.71%

As Eirinn Lady Golightly (WCC Legacy X Uncle Mo xx) scoring 80.71 with comments of good fronted filly, can move! This lovely filly is available to a new home. More information to follow.

As Eirinn Le Dieudonne (Lord Larmarque x Jeanal Summer Solstice) just missing out on a platinum sash scoring 83.57% is also available to a new home. More information to follow!

✨Future Eventing ✨

And just like that the 2025 season is off with a bang!

A fabulous weekend at Future Eventing! No small task being part of the organising committee, one of the course designers, bringing a toddler and riding 3 horses between us but we wouldn’t have it any other way 🤪 (ok maybe we would like a little more sleep in the lead up 😅)

Massive thanks to everyone who lent a hand over the weekend, whether it was entertaining Millie while Chris and I were on a horse, being an extra set of hands doing any job throughout the weekend or just simply seeing if there was anything they could do to help. Way too many people to thank. Couldn’t do it without each and every one of you ❤️

Ebondale Soprano was his usual unicorn self to finish on his dressage score for 3rd in the EvA65 sponsored by Spooks Riding Australia

GPH Valet de Carreau was rather fresh all weekend given his first start back in while due to Chris limited time around work however still managed a 5th in the EvA 95OTT sponsored by Off the Track WA

Gordon Park Phoenix jumped super all weekend just adding 1 time penalty to his dressage score in the EvA95 sponsored by Horseland BUNBURY. The highlight was his XC round, he was so rideable and focused. Now just have to aim for a less fresh test at Capel next weekend 😅

Wishing all our clients, friends and families a Happy holidays and a safe 2025!

We have had a successful year with both ours and clients horses both in Australia and overseas with a successful campaign in Paris for the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Safe foalings for both ourselves and clients mares this breeding season with a few more breedings and pregnancy tests to go before our breeding season is done.

Thank you to everyone for their support this year. Looking forward a great 2025!
