Not a great video unfortunately, due to keeping myself well clear of this fellows departure.
This snake is possibly the most aggressive snake I have caught to date... Of the more than 100 snakes I have relocated, I have only had 4 with their first instinct to attack vs retreat and hide...
Snakes do not wish to hurt us, they do not want to be anywhere near us, we are bigger and scarier....
This snake however had no interest in retreat. The client thought the snake must have been stuck or injured due to its immediate rear up and hissing... I arrived prepared to free a snake from netting... It was not stuck, it was not there any longer. Maybe 10 minutes it took to find the snake within the garden, as I carefully lowered a bag nearby to offer it a safe retreat it began to BARK and rear up. Twice I had to use my hook to deflect its lunge towards me!
Snakey was finally bagged with me holding its tail from one side of the fence / netting while a very brave client followed my directions to offer up the safe retreat of a bag again on the other side of the fence and then safely raised the bag up to prevent its exit.
This one definitely got the heart pumping !
(And was relocated a long, long distance from any homes!)
