Trick Dog Practice
Dates Confirmed for 18/5,25/5, 1/6 and 15/6.

We will be running 4 weeks of Trick Dog Practice hopefully starting next Monday at the CWA rooms.

Stewards Needed

Our Scent work trial is coming close on the 3rd of May we still need a few stewards if anyone is available to lend us a few hours it would be appreciated and we will throw in a free lunch. 😀

Crookwell Dog Club Trial at a new venue on the 3rd of May. Entries open on Friday at 6pm.

We also need stewards no experience necessary.

Scent Work Practice is happening on Mondays, 23rd and 30th March. We’d love for first-timers to join us, and then we’ll have more practice sessions on 13th and 20th April. We’ll be at the Crookwell CWA Hall starting at 4:30 pm, and the cost is $15.00.

If you’re new to Scent Work, please come to the sessions on 23rd and 30th March. After that, you’re welcome to join us for more practice.

We’ll have Birch kits available for $15.00 to help your dog learn to detect the completion scent of Birch.

If you’re interested in Anise, Clove or Cypress kits, just let me know.

Just like in all Scent Work, we work the dogs from the vehicles, so they don’t meet other dogs and there are no distractions, which is great if your dog is sensitive.

Stewards Needed for our Scent Work Trial

We have just received confirmation that our Scent Dog Trial on the 3rd May 2026 has been approved by Dogs NSW

The Trail is being held at the Grabben Gullen Hall. We are running 3 Novice and 3 Advance elements. No experience is necessary and it’s a great way to learn about Scent Work.

Now that our scentwork trial is over, we are now looking at starting Sprintdog training / practise -
We have not decided a day yet so calling for expressions of interest on days we are looking at
Will be looking at either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons starting at 4pm (once daylight savings starts will be 5-530 start time )
Training will be in Goulburn and open to members of the Crookwell Dog Club (Crookwell and District Ladies Dogs Sports Club Inc) we welcome new members - contact us via email [email protected]

Hi The Crookwell Dog Club are after volunteers to help us with our Scent Trial on Sunday 7/9/2025.

The role is not hard and you can volunteer for All Day and we will also feed you or just for an AM or PM role.

Marshalling Stewards: All that is required is to stop competitors away from the search area until called by the Judge.

Timekeepers: To use a stopwatch to record when they cross the start line until they call alert and stop the stopwatch.

Search area stewards: To work the door or start of search and cross off their number when entering the area.

It is a great way to learn about Scent Work Trialling. If this is you please drop me a message with your availability.
