🏮 SLEEVE PEKINGESE — PART 2

Myths, Rare Facts, and Secrets of the Little Lions

🐉 MYTH 1: “A sleeve Pekingese is just a tiny puppy”

Not true. A true sleeve Pekingese is a miniature line, not a puppy that hasn’t grown yet. They maintain proper proportions even as adults — they don’t “stretch out” with age.

🏯 MYTH 2: “They were bred as toys for empresses”

Partially true, but not the full story.
They were considered spiritual protectors. People believed that a tiny Pekingese could ward off evil if carried in a sleeve or a robe cuff.

🧡 MYTH 3: “They are fragile and weak”

On the contrary — these dogs are surprisingly hardy.
In ancient times, they were called “resilient little lions”: small in size but fearless in spirit.

🌟 RARE AND LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS

🐾 1. They were trained to jump out of sleeves

Imperial Pekingese were trained to leap from sleeves in case of danger and bark — a living alarm system.

👑 2. Receiving one was the highest honor

Being gifted a sleeve Pekingese by an empress was considered more valuable than gold or titles.

🔥 3. They were associated with the spirit of the lion

In many legends, the Pekingese is described as a miniature celestial lion guarding temple gates.

🕊️ 4. Their coat was meant to “rustle”

Ideal Pekingese were described in ancient texts as moving so gracefully that their fur made a soft, silky sound — a mark of perfect grooming.

💫 5. Why they are so confident

Sleeve Pekingese have a genetic trait of self-assuredness.
It’s not stubbornness — it’s dignity, inherited from centuries of selective breeding.

🎀 FINAL THOUGHT

The sleeve Pekingese is not just a small dog.
It is history in fur, a tiny guardian of traditions, and a little lion who chooses its human.

And if it chooses you — it means a little royal soul has recognized you. 👑🐾

🏮 SLEEVE PEKINGESE — THE EMPEROR’S DOGS

There are breeds people respect. There are breeds people make legends about.
And then there are sleeve Pekingese — tiny creatures with a history older than many nations.

🐾 Who are sleeve Pekingese?

These are miniature Pekingese, usually weighing up to 3 kg (6.6 lbs). Their name comes from the imperial court tradition: tiny Pekingese were carried in the wide sleeves of silk robes, like living jewels. Their role was to guard, warm, and… enchant.

👑 Why are they so prized?

✨ 1. Imperial heritage

Sleeve Pekingese once belonged only to the members of the Tang and Qing dynasties. They were considered sacred: they could not be sold, only given as gifts for special merits. Losing such a dog could be a matter of life and death.

✨ 2. Rarity of the miniature type

A true sleeve Pekingese is not just “naturally small,” but a carefully bred line maintaining miniature size and proper proportions. Finding a genuine “sleeve dog” is rare, and their value is high because of their scarcity.

✨ 3. Character that captivates

Their personality is legendary:
— brave like lions;
— independent like true nobility;
— tender toward those they choose as their humans.
They combine regal pride with boundless loyalty in a tiny body.

✨ 4. Symbol of luck and protection

They were believed to ward off evil spirits and bring harmony to the home. Ancient texts called them “lion talismans.”

🧡 Sleeve Pekingese today

These are not just decorative dogs.
They are a piece of history, little guardians of tradition, characters in miniature, and endless sources of affection.

Sleeve Pekingese are valued for their rarity, beauty, strong character, and the special aura no other breed possesses.
Each of these dogs is a tiny legend living right beside you.

Well said..

📍 A puppy is reserved after paying …% of the total puppy price. Once reserved, the puppy is taken off sale and held for you until a specific (pre-agreed) date.

🪓 If after the reservation you change your mind, decide to move to the Moon, develop an allergy, have a fight with your spouse and decide to divorce, a baby is born, your old dog who disappeared 7 years ago returns, or for any other reason — the reservation fee is non-refundable!

💵 Buying a puppy is a serious decision. A dog is not a toy; it will live with you for about 15 years. Even before looking for a puppy, you need to discuss all the details with your relatives, family members, and loved ones.

❓Why is the reservation non-refundable? Because paying a reservation fee guarantees your commitment. Selling puppies is not cheap: there are photo sessions, advertisement fees, promotion costs. All marketing efforts end once the puppy is reserved. Then time passes — a week, a month, sometimes several months — and suddenly, you change your mind. Meanwhile, the breeder has lost valuable time. During that time, they could have sold the puppy to another family — a missed opportunity.
I sell puppies to responsible adults who understand the consequences of their decisions. Once again, a puppy is not a toy! A kennel is not a store where you can buy, then return if it doesn’t suit you!

❗If you have paid a reservation and keep postponing your arrival date, sooner or later the reservation will be canceled. Returning to the point above — the reservation fee will not be returned.

🟡 I’m not talking about rescheduling due to valid reasons. But if the puppy is ready to leave, quarantine is over, and you keep delaying your arrival — be prepared for your arrival date to be strictly limited. After that date, the reservation will be canceled, and the puppy will be put back up for sale.
⚜ Respect other people’s time.

🔴 If you have not paid a reservation, the puppy is available for sale. Sometimes I hold a puppy verbally reserved — that is a different matter and does not apply to everyone.

🟣 If you like a puppy and immediately start googling the breed, persuading your husband, consulting a vet, or doing Tarot readings — the puppy is being sold during that time! Please don’t call me afterward crying: “How come? We all already fell in love with him, and you sold him!”

🟡 All decisions related to bringing a puppy into your home should be made in advance — before searching, reserving, and buying! First, you decide, discuss, reach a consensus, and only then start looking for a puppy and especially making any payments!

(Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the original author of this text, but I fully agree with every word.)
