Little Scout, big spirit 💛🐾
Meet Scout, a beautiful 12-week-old Golden Retriever who came into the care of One at a Time Pet Rescue with a painful little nub where her front leg should have been.
Sadly, her leg was causing her significant pain and wasn’t something she could live comfortably with. After careful assessment and discussion with the wonderful team at One at a Time Rescue, we made the decision to amputate her front leg — giving Scout the chance to finally be pain-free.
And what a difference it has made. 💕
Scout has taken everything in her stride (pun intended!) and is already showing everyone that three legs are more than enough when you have a whole lot of puppy spirit.
It has been incredibly rewarding for our team to watch this little girl go from a painful start in life to a happy, playful puppy. Cases like Scout’s are a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do — helping animals not just survive, but go on to live comfortable, happy and fulfilling lives.

We can’t wait to watch this gorgeous girl grow up and see all the adventures ahead of her.
