Farewell🇦🇺

Thank you to all my clients and Pamela’s Paw Squad family members for trusting me with your beloved pets over the years. Working with you has been an absolute pleasure! 💚
Unfortunately my time in Australia has come to an end as I continue my professional journey in Europe to study Veterinary Medicine at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. I will still be available for limited online behaviour consults and support, so please reach out to me via [email protected] or over Facebook/Instagram direct messages. Alternatively I can refer you on to my awesome colleagues. I am undecided whether I will continue doing any behaviour consulting/pet sitting in Europe, but I will definitely keep my socials and website running, so you should have no trouble reaching me. Please also keep them pictures and updates coming. Emails from you always make my day!💚

Thanks again for everything. You all have been my biggest inspiration and the reason I am seeking to further my skills to be better for your pets. Although this is a goodbye for now, I look forward to working with you in the future!

Love always,
Pamela ❤️

Picture of a very good boy! Tommy is my first ‘student’ to pass his PAT, making him officially an assistance dog! Congratulations to Tommy’s owner, Zarah! 🙌🏼 I am so impressed with all their hard work over the past few months- one very proud trainer right here! 🤩Also a special shoutout to Tommy’s PAT assessor Bea for allowing me to be present during the test. It was great to support my team on their big day 💕

Lockdown update!
Due to recent developments Pamela’s Paw Squad has had to cancel all bookings made for this weekend. Please bear with us as we wait for further details on Monday. I know this is difficult news to receive, but I will do whatever it takes to make this situation a little less frustrating for our PPS family! Any invoices paid will be refunded and /or sessions rebooked/moved online pending your preference. Video added of Mila, who like many other dogs rejoiced at the thought of having their pawrents home this weekend! I guess now is as good time as any to get some recall work done, eh?! As always, my inbox is open to anyone needing to chat. I will always do my best to be available for you. Love, Pamela

Rocket’s guardians are awesome! Due to Rocket’s special behavioural needs, her pawrents have struggled to go away for a holiday for years. Thanks to working with Dr Bronwen from they are trialing to see how little Miss Rocket and her sister Lola would go with a behavioural carer overnight. So far so good! Classical music is going down a treat too😊

I am back and with some exciting news! I have joined a wonderful team of assistance dog trainers . Here is Miss Shadow demonstrating excellent skills in a busy shopping centre. Very soon ready for her PAT test 😊

1 week post op and we’re slowly bringing some training back into the mix. Mila has been crate resting and is still being carried around for toileting, however she is a Border Collie, which means sitting around is not really an option.. 😂 Lovely little coin indication happening here! I’m training with to further my skills at scent work and thus far really enjoying it!

Happy Friday! 😉

With the weather really warming up it’s really important to consider how to protect your dogs and keep them safe from the heat.
I saw a poor dog out walking on Sunday in the afternoon heat and which was quite upsetting, the dog didn’t look comfortable at all.
🐾 Please check the pavement with the back of your hand with the 5 second test (too for you too hot for your dog).
🐾 Go out at a more suitable time, either early morning or evening.
🐾 If you can’t get out, have some fun at home with enrichment, training or games.
🐾 If they are outside during the day ensure they have multiple water bowls, shell pool and a place to shelter from the heat.
After being nice and comfortable on the cool tiles under the aircon our boys love a big sniff out the front after rain (spoilt much!! ❤️🐾)
If you are concerned your dog has been effected by the heat they could be suffering heat stroke and please contact your vet immediately.
