This is Sally.

I’ve had the privilege of being Sally’s groomer for the past 11 years.

These days, grooming looks a little different. She can’t stand for long anymore, so I simply work around what she’s able to do. I let her rest when she needs to, take my time, and put her comfort above everything else.

There comes a point where a perfect groom no longer matters. What matters is that our senior dogs are treated with patience, kindness and dignity.

Growing old is a privilege, even though it’s one of the hardest parts of loving a dog.

To my sweet Sally, thank you for trusting me for all these years. I’ll always make sure your comfort comes first.

I love you, beautiful girl. 🤍
