🏷️ Microchipping & Registration – Do You Know the Difference? 🐶🐱

Microchipping and registration are both legal requirements for pet owners, but they’re not the same thing!

A microchip helps reunite lost pets with their families, while pet registration is managed through your local council. It’s important to ensure both are up to date, especially when welcoming a new puppy or kitten into your family. 💙

Please remember that we cannot update your pet’s microchip details at the clinic. Any changes to ownership, address, or contact information must be made directly through your pet’s microchip database.

📍 NSW: Pet registration is a one time lifetime registration.
📍 Victoria: Pet registration must be renewed annually.

If you’re unsure whether your pet’s details are current, now is the perfect time to check! Contact your local council for information about registration requirements.

Dear valued clients and pets,

It has come to my attention there has been a terrible error with the diversion of our after hours mobile this weekend. I am sincerely sorry to anyone whose pet had an emergency this weekend and was trying to reach us. I have now implemented a plan to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

🐾 Please join us in welcoming Nurse Mikki to the Corowa Vet Clinic team! 🐾

Mikki joined our clinic in February and brings with her a wealth of experience working with large animals, including cattle, sheep and horses. She has a particular passion for equine health and nutrition and loves being able to support both animals and their owners through every stage of their care. Her calm, caring nature and dedication to animal wellbeing make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Outside of the clinic, Mikki enjoys working with cattle, spending time with her dogs, and getting outdoors for walks and hikes. A proud horse enthusiast, she is also a nationally competitive reining rider and has travelled extensively throughout Australia competing with her horses. Her knowledge and hands-on experience in the equine industry are invaluable assets to both our team and clients.

We are incredibly excited to have Mikki on board and know many of you will enjoy getting to know her. Next time you’re visiting the clinic, be sure to say hello and help us give her a very warm Corowa Vet Clinic welcome! 💙🐴🐶🐮🐑

Corowa’s Crazy Clinic Cases 🐟✨

All hail the queen of the tank 👑
Snowpea recently developed a swim bladder issue, leaving her floating upside down. X-rays suggest she may be egg bound or may have ingested rocks.

While surgery isn’t an option here, she’s still thriving 💪 cruising in her custom fish wheelchair and being hand-fed daily.

This is one tough little fishy 🐟 💙
