Long weekends are made for trips to Brisbane for training and upskill ✈️📚
I am a huge advocate for continued learning, which has been a commitment that I have invested in yearly, throughout my 10 years in the grooming industry.
It has always been extremely important to me to become the best groomer possible, while providing the best service achievable, for you and your pet.
You can never know everything, and there are always methods to do better, or differently, while achieving great results, with the pets comfort, safety and enjoyment of the grooming process in consideration.
I spent a day working along side Julie from 'You had me at Meow' cat grooming.
Julie's knowledge and skills are some of the best in Australia, with her impressive accumulation of achievements including being a Dual Certifiend Master Groomer, and a qualified Austalian Certified Cat Groomer, in which she is also an approved assessor.
It is incredibly inspiring to work with Masters of our field, and Ive always upheld the fact that if I want to be best, then I must learn from the best.
We had a great variety of kitties including some pretty Ragdolls, a spicy Mainecoon, and some gorgeous Exotics and Persians which were delightful. This assortment allowed us to execute a full range of skills required for beautiful long coat desheds, handling difficult and wriggly individuals, comb clips and matted shave downs. As usual, while im hyperfocused on the task at hand, I didn't get enough photos 📸
I can not wait to get back into the salon, and implement all the new expertise in handling, tools, equipment and products that I've learnt 💜
