You feed me when im hungry,
you keep water in my dish.
You let me sleep on anything,
in any place I wish.

You sometimes let me lick your hands,
or even lick your face.
Despite the fact Ive licked myself,
in every private place.

You always take me outside,
so I can go for a run.
You taught me how to come when called,
you let me have have so much fun.

We're back in the salon, and feeling refreshed after a beutiful long weekend 🌞

We've had a few changes to the schedule this week, which has opened up various last minute appointments.
🐶 Dog grooming days this week are:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
🐱 And Friday is a split day of dogs in the early AM, followed by cats for the remainder of the day, after the pooches have vacated.

We had a wholesome day at Good Vibes Grooming Studio in Yungaburra.
Networking, learning, sharing skills and knowledge, and spending the day with some of the cutest pups around.

Let's chat Puppy Coat...

✨️ Puppy coat is soft, fine and very easy to brush out. This is the time to get your puppy used to brushing on a regular basis, as it is very easy to manage.
This is also why young dogs coats look choppy, and uneaved after their grooming appointments- its too soft to hold any structure.

✨️ When your puppy goes through coat change, and grows in their adult coat, their coats will matt up very quickly and easily.
It is very hard to manage long coats during this process, and often much easier to take the coat shorter during this period.

✨️ Once their adult coat comes through, it will be much coarser and more work to maintain, than the soft puppy coat; so your pet should be well climatised to being thoroughly brush out from nose to tail, by this point.

✨️ Just like a Dentist can tell if you floss regulary or not- Professional Groomers can tell if you brush your pet regularly or not.
There is such a huge difference in the pets comfort during the grooming process with pets that are brushed regularly at home.

✨️ Even if your dogs coat is short, it is so important to continue to brush them regularly, so that they are not completely overwhelmed with all coat preparation and handling that is required to complete their groom, during their visit at the salon.
